The Lookout is situated on a cliff top with magnificent sea views. This cute, detached retreat is close to the historic ruined village of Hallsands, washed away during storms in the early 20th century when the shingle banks in Start Bay were dredged to create building materials for the Naval Dockyard in Plymouth, altering the tidal flows in the area. This area is a walkers paradise, so put the dog on the lead and just step out of the gate right onto the famous South West Coastal Path where a walk to the right takes you to the lighthouse at Start Point, a secluded beach, rocky outcrops with basking seals and stunning views at every turn.  Alternatively go the other way and a 5 minute walk takes you to North Hallsands beach. Venture further on and the path leads to Beesands where you can have a refreshment stop at the friendly Cricket Inn, serving tasty locally caught seafood. Then re-invigorated continue on to Torcross, the famous Slapton Sands and the nature reserve of Slapton Ley. Back at the Lookout there is a lovely sunny patio at the front of the property with those breathtaking views and a secluded sheltered rear courtyard with loungers and bench seating.

Accommodation:
Front entrance to a spacious kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a small cooker with two hotplates, oven and grill, fridge with separate freezer compartment and microwave. At the other end of the room a circular table with seating for four. Archway to a comfortable lounge with futon, coffee table, TV with Freeview and door to rear courtyard garden. A corridor leads to the double bedroom with a 4ft 6in bed, side cabinets and bureaux (wardrobe and storage chest in the lounge). Compact en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.

Outside: Private patio area with outside furniture overlooking the bay. Enclosed rear courtyard/garden with sun loungers.
