The Moorings is a traditional Devon cottage built in the 1700's originally built for the local fishermen and their families in Hope Cove. Situated about 20 yards from Mouthwell beach, it occupies a prime position in one of the most sought after spots in the South Hams. The property has been completely and sympathetically renovated with reverse living to maximise the fantastic sea views in a spacious, light cottage with all modern conveniences, plus a first floor spacious outside decking area for barbecues, sunbathing and making the most of the fabulous views. Hope Cove is a fantastic location for a seaside family holiday, a romantic retreat and also a great place for walkers and the South West Coastal Path is on the doorstep with miles of spectacular coastline walks. The Moorings is brilliantly located just yards from the harbour and its golden sandy beaches.

Accommodation
Level access from pathway into the ground floor hallway. Central staircase with easy open stairgates, leading up to well-appointed, spacious kitchen diner , with superb character features and large oak dining table & chairs to seat six.  Ceramic hob and undercounter electric double oven, microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine, fridge freezer.  A second hallway and door leads out to lane at the rear of the property, guests may bring their dogs in this entrance . Hallway to first floor WC with hand basin. Spacious lounge with exposed beams and views to the beach, two sumptuous leather sofas,  40" flatscreen TV with freeview & DVD, radio/cd player with ipod dock, wireless Broadband.  Snug area with sofa bed and curtain room divider, two children's bean bags and chest of drawers filled with an assortment of toys and children's activities. Doorway from here leads up a few steps to the superb deck. On the ground floor is the master bedroom with 5ft king sized bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and ensuite shower  room. Triple bedroom with 3ft bunks & 3ft single, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and ensuite bathroom with shower tower and body jets . A hallway leads to the rear of the cottage to a further double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed (no window in this room), built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and luxurious ensuite bathroom with shower tower and body jets (a velux roof window in the bathroom sheds bright light into bathroom and towards bedroom).


Outside   Door from lounge leads up to the superb decking area with views of the harbour and the beaches, extending to the side and rear of the property, with garden table and chairs for six and gas barbecue . There is also access to a sunroom here, ideal for storing leisure equipment and the owners store bodyboards, beach gear and fishing rods here which guests are free to use. A gateway leads from the deck out to the lane at the rear of the property.
