Wonwood House comfortably sleeps 12 persons, however with the addition of a floor mattress and blow-up bed 2 additional children/teenagers can be accommodated.

Pack up the cars, the sun hats, bathing suits and walking boots and head West! Wonwood House, is a very handsome detached country house, decorated and furnished with style and flair and providing the ultimate in comfort in a lovely country location. Set in glorious grounds this truly stunning house, is approached by a long private drive and was originally a Victorian farmhouse built in the Georgian style and provides spacious, elegant living with beautiful views in an unspoilt corner of Devon. Close to the Tamar valley, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cornish border and a short drive from Dartmoor and the north coast beaches, the choice for exploration is endless. However, there is little need to leave this lovely place, with six acres of beautifully maintained grounds, a magnificent heated outdoor swimming pool, a children's play area and a spacious, sumptuously furnished house with lovely views from most windows to enjoy. Wonwood is perfect for those large family gatherings and provides a memorable retreat and a taste of a lifestyle not to be forgotten; wonderfully warm in winter and light and airy in summer, come here to be cosseted at any time of the year.

Accommodation:
Front door to porch and hallway. Magnificent carpeted drawing room, divided into two areas by an arch, both with open fireplaces and handsomely furnished with sofas, chairs, 36" wide screen TV/ DVD with Freeview and a piano. A small conservatory leads off the drawing room. Study with built-in desk, bookcases and broadband point. Dining room with oak floor and extending table to seat up to 14, fireplace housing a woodburner and arch into comfortable snug TV area with sofas, wall mounted 36" TV/DVD with basic Sky package, Bose surround sound and door to kitchen. Attractive farmhouse style kitchen with table to seat 8, a settle, fine Aga with triple ovens, twin hot plates, plus a twin gas hob and electric oven. This very well fitted and equipped room includes integral dishwasher, two larder fridges, one with ice box, double sink, one with waste disposal unit and walk-in larder. Door to rear hallway. Utility/boot room with washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and freezer. Log store. Two cloakrooms both with basin and WC. Cloaks cupboard. Door to garden and back stairs to the first floor.
From the main hallway stairs lead to the magnificent, sunny atrium decorated with attractive wall murals and on to a second landing. Master bedroom 1 : A superb spacious room with lovely rural views, 7ft bed, ornamental fireplace and en-suite bathroom with double shower cubicle, bath, twin basins and WC. Double bedroom 2 : A beautiful room with views over the front lawns, 5ft bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, basin, WC and separate shower cubicle. This bathroom also has access to the landing. Double bedroom 3 : Another lovely bedroom with basin in vanity unit, 5ft bed and views. Single bedroom 4 : A pretty girl's bedroom with 3ft bed and basin in vanity unit. Twin bedroom 5 : The boy's bedroom with twin 3ft single beds, basin in vanity unit and large mirrored fitted cupboards.
From the atrium, three steps down to a twin bedroom (6) (3ft beds) with ornamental fireplace, adjoining shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Further single bedroom (7) with 3ft bed and fitted wardrobe.

Outside: The long private drive encircles the house and there are wide lawns at the front and to one side of the house with steps down to a lower lawn and the swimming pool. The pool has a paved surround and measures 36ftL x 16ftW and 6ft deep at the deep end, is fitted with a Coverstar UltraGuard electric, recessed and lockable cover (children require supervision here at all times) and is available from mid May to early September. The pool is heated by a 'heat exchange' system , which is dependent on the outside air temperature. It sucks in warm air, mixes it with the water and puts it back into the pool. The grounds include an orchard, paddocks, outdoor furniture, a summer house, trampoline (no safety net) and swings.

Note: At one side of the house is a separate property available to let, The Coach House, with its own private garden area. This may be let separately, or let (separately priced) in conjunction with Wonwood House (see below).
