What a week it’s been! Finally we’re proud to be able to display all of our recently acquired properties on the Toad Hall Cottages website. For those of you out of the ‘Holiday Cottage Agency loop’ we recently took on the South Hams branch of Fulfords Holiday Cottages meaning not only do we get to incorporate a few shiny new members of staff and some rather dusty computer equipment, but more importantly we’re able to introduce to you, lovely reader, some 70 additional sparkling properties that are sure to make your holiday cottage choosing even trickier!
Having become well established in some of South Devon’s most popular holiday spots, the Fulfords portfolio bolsters our already superb selection of self-catering holiday homes in Salcombe, Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth; as well as many of the charming, traditional villages and hamlets that make up the South Hams.
To celebrate this joyous occasion we’re all going out for lobster and mussel linguine at the Milbrook Inn in South Pool so good bbbbbbbbbyyyyeee…
…only joking of course, instead we’re celebrating by working especially hard to ensure the transition runs smoothly and both our own and Fulfords customers continue to receive the very best personal service.
Here’s a little taster of our latest additions:
Hope Cove was certainly one of Fulfords strongholds and we’re delighted to have taken on board 17 more charming holiday cottages that lie in this magical, sleepy seaside village. With Hope Cove Weekend just a week or so away, now’s the perfect time to get down there to see for yourself why this pocket of South Devon coastline is so sought after. Large families and groups will love The Old Parsonage which comfortably sleeps up to 13 and offers real character with easy access to the beaches of Hope Cove as well the amenities available in Kingsbridge and Salcombe. For something a bit more cosy, couples and small families will feel right at home in either Beach Cottage or Brook Cottage; charming traditional thatched cottages tucked away in the quieter side of the village with a 2 minute walk to the beach.
Famous Dartmouth with it’s proud maritime history and charming traditional town centre should always be high on the ‘to visit’ list for those planning a trip to the Westcountry. Set in the picturesque Dart Valley and climbing the hills that overlook the Dart Estuary it’s no wonder the town has been a popular stop off for European cruises this summer with visits from some of the world’s biggest cruise ships. Now there are even more ways to enjoy Dartmouth with our newly inherited properties that include 2 bedroom luxury apartment Serenity, with it’s stunning views over the harbour, and 41 Sandquay, a beautifully renovated traditional cottage in the heart of the town. For a bit more space, 4 bedroom Pottery Court offers tasteful living in a fantastically well furnished house, close to the town centre and with plenty of parking.
Salcombe’s beautiful harbour enchants everyone who visits and it’s little wonder why with it’s stunning scenery, fantastic sailing and busy high street teaming with pubs and restaurants. Such is Salcombe’s popularity that summer holiday accommodation is often hard to find if not booked early so we’re delighted to have added 10 more properties to our books for you to peruse. Both The Garden Floor and 4 Sandhills offer fantastic sea views and can comfortably accommodate large families, while The Old Mill on the East Portlemouth side of the estuary is a delightful conversion that provides spacious living and easy access to the beach.
