Could Chinese Roosters Be Flocking South West?

Saturday, 28th January, marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Rooster – and festivities took place across the globe, with the usual spectacle of lion dancing, lanterns, and fireworks.

For anyone born in the Year of the Rooster, there are a number of lucky signs and symbols attached to it, for example; the numbers: 5,7, & 8, the colours: gold, brown, and yellow, and the flowers: gladiola, impatiens, and cockscomb. Also among these lucky charms, are three lucky directions, which are: west, northeast, and most importantly of all…..the Southwest!

So if you were born during the Years of the Rooster, which are: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, & 2017,  it would seem only right that you head for the ‘Southwest’ to enjoy our ‘golden’ sandy beaches, and maybe take the ‘M5’ to get here.

The Chinese rooster is also considered to be the epitome of punctuality, so don’t delay, contact us today and follow your lucky signs to a dream West Country getaway. We’ll give the most stubborn of roosters plenty to crow about!

Wishing you lots of happiness in the Year of the Rooster,
from all at Toad Hall Cottages.
