You can expect to find a tempting range of local cheeses, seasonally grown vegetables and herbs harvested in local fields and free-range meat from Tregirls Farm with prime cuts of perfect for all your sizzling barbeques. Keep an eye out for the farm shop’s Padstow Pasta, 100% homegrown durum wheat. Set on Trethillick Farm, this award-winning outlet, along with its Roundhouse Deli and Butchery, flies the flag for Cornish food and drink.

Set on the magnificent headlands overlooking Widemouth Bay, not far from the seaside town of Bude, Cornish Coasts Farm Shop is a real beauty. Shoppers leave with bulging baskets, unable to resist the well-stocked shelves, deli counter and bakery. You can also pick from a jostling drinks cabinet full of leading Cornish labels. The shop also provides a hamper service, elegantly presented and themed for cream teas, breakfasts, barbeques or bespoke selections to suit your plans. A wonderful pitstop for all those seeking a true taste of Kernow.

Trevilley Farm Shop

Set in lush pastures near Newquay, Trevilley Farm Shop sells homegrown produce from more than 100 local suppliers. The farm makes its own jams, marmalades, chutneys, and pickles as well as purveying freshly baked bread, traditional Cornish pasties, pies, quiches, sausage rolls and delicious cakes. Beef, lamb, turkey and geese are all hand-reared on the farm, and vegetables grown on plots tended within the acreage. The farm shop’s latest homegrown editions are quail eggs. Trevilley offers a farm box and hamper delivery service.

Boscastle Farm Shop and Café


Just off the coast path, encompassed by the roaming furlongs of a National Trust farm, Boscastle Farm Shop and Café showcases some of the region’s most celebrated fayre. The shop boasts majestic views of the north Cornwall coast and lies on a popular walking route, peregrines often seen diving for quarry, grey seals spotted swimming in the bay while the farm’s pedigree Devonshire cattle graze along the slopes. Fill your baskets with farm-reared cuts of beef, lamb and pork from award-winning stock, and choose from a selection of homemade pies and cakes. The café serves up breakfasts, lunches and light bites, all cooked and prepared by hand using fresh and seasonal ingredients from local growers.

Not far from the historic seaside village of Port Isaac and the bustling Padstow Harbour, Trevathan Farm is “stocked to the gunwales” with local delights. The farm’s own beef and lamb is on sale, along with homemade jams, honey, cheese, fudge, free range eggs and clotted cream from the nearby dairy. If you’re looking to stock up on drinks for your evening soirée, you’ll find an extensive selection of country wines and Cornish craft ales and ciders to pick from. The shop also stocks the award-winning, handmade Treleavens Cornish Ice Cream. The farm provides lots of family-friendly activities including “pick your own”, tractor rides, and play areas.

Sea View Farm Shop


Also found in the Port Isaac countryside is the Sea View Farm Shop. The farm’s herds range free on the roaming uplands of Bodmin Moor, feeding on the ancient wild herbs growing in flower-rich pastures. These rare breeds graze in harmony with the meadowlands and have done since records began. The shop also has a popular restaurant and café serving up hearty dishes and tempting sweet treats. Sea View also has a lively music and events scene.

Hilltop Farm Shop

Close to the riverside town of Camelford, Hilltop Farm Shop is an open pantry well stocked with local goods and some of the region’s most celebrated brands. The shop is surrounded by farmer’s fields and tracks and trails for ramblers. You can also take advantage of the café and al fresco dining area with far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside.

Stock up on all your holiday essentials when you visit Trevaskis Farm on Connor Downs, near the port town of Hayle. The farm holds daily markets, from 8am to 8pm, where you can pick up some Cornish classics and local delicacies. The market has been trading for more than 30 years, sticking rigidly to its founding homegrown and home-reared principles. Expect to find fresh fruit and vegetables, a butchery and fishmongers, a deli, dairy, and bakery, all the ingredients you’ll need for some proper Cornish dining.

St Buryan Farm Shop

Not far from the magnificent Penwith Heritage Coast, St Buryan Farm Shop offers up a smorgasbord of homegrown delights, including the best pasties in Cornwall according to one local poll. You can discuss your dining plans with the farm shop butcher on hand to give you some expert tips and advice. Dive into the farm café for some tasty treats including traditional Cornish cream teas and let the kids run wild in the play area.

Argal Farm Shop

Argal Farm Shop is a family-run enterprise found not far from the port town of Falmouth. Bailey’s Country Store


Set in the historic, granite town of Penryn near Falmouth, Bailey’s Country Store sells produce from award-winning local growers, showcasing the best food fayre Cornwall has to offer and receiving fresh deliveries every day. The shop also stocks a wide range of pet foods and household supplies, handy if you’ve travelled to a dog friendly Cornish holiday cottage. Cornish Farmers’ Markets

Bude Farmer’s and Craft Market

Open every Friday throughout the summer months, from Good Friday to the end of September, Bude Farmer’s and Craft Market welcomes a vast array of market traders to the gorgeous setting of The Green on the Lower Wharf alongside the canal. Another showcase for local growers and cottage enterprises, you can expect to find stalls laden with the finest in Cornish cuisine, horticulture, arts and crafts, all pitched beneath brightly coloured gazebos.

St Ives Farmers’ Market

Taking place on the first and third Saturday of every month, you’ll find St Ives Farmers’ Market in the heart of the town at the old Sheep market. This year celebrating its 20th anniversary, the market is full of fresh produce, opening its stalls at 8.30am and running until 2pm. Three times Farmers’ Market of the Year finalists, St Ives remains a fun and friendly gathering of local traders and artisans.

Lostwithiel Produce Market

The enchanting village of Lostwithiel, at the head of the estuary of the River Fowey, runs a regular market at the village scout hall from 10am until 1pm. You can expect to find a variety of stalls, catch of the day, local meat and vegetables, baked goods, craft ales and farm-pressed apple juice all on sale.

Truro Farmers’ Market


Truro Farmers’ Market is a bustling gathering of local traders on Lemon Square. With the finest food and drink on show, the market has been running for 25 years under its traditional green and white stripped stalls. You’ll find yourselves rubbing shoulders with some of the county’s most acclaimed chefs, such is the quality of the food here. Grass-fed beef, sushi-grade fish, organic veg, freshly baked bread…it’s been described as a “feast for the senses” and a mecca for foodies.

Falmouth Farmers’ Market

Staged in the heart of the historic, seafaring town of Falmouth, the Falmouth Farmers’ Market is another of the region’s longstanding trading places. Stalls packed with local meats, catch of the day, cheeses, honey, cakes and crafts, plus all the friendly and industrious growers and artisans that make it happen. A great place to pick up some fresh and wholesome ingredients or some snacks for your picnic hampers, the market sets up on The Moor every Tuesday from 9am to 2pm.

Bodmin Farmers’ Market

Held at Bodmin Nursery on the third Saturday of every month, the Bodmin Farmers’ Market is a bustling affair attracting the region’s best growers and crafters, plus a wealth of skill sharing and demonstrations. The stalls open from 10am to 2pm, don’t forget your baskets.

Sennen Market

From humble beginnings to awards and accolades, Sennen Market is supported by 50 stall holders comprised of growers, crafters and makers from up and down the peninsula. Winners of Taste of the West “Best Farmers’ Market” and Cornwall Living’s “Best Cornish Market”, this enterprising gathering can be found not far from Land’s End, held in the village’s community hall every Tuesday from 9am until noon. Established in 2010, its set on going from strength to strength, showcasing the very best of Cornish homegrowns.

Helston Farmer’s Market

The Old Cattle Market on Porthleven Road is the location for Helston Farmer’s Market, one of the busiest and well-stocked markets in Cornwall. Stacked with locally bred meats and poultry, organic vegetables and fruits from parish plots and patches, fish and shellfish caught that morning, fresh bread and delicious baked treats, and a host of drinks, sauces, jams, marmalades, conserves, chutney and condiments. The market attracts more than 40 growers and producers, their fresh and seasonal wares helping the county’s bid for a more sustainable future.
