It’s a ‘must go’ event for all musos and foodies: Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival, back for its sixth year, is a free, live music extravaganza staged on the town square at the water’s edge. As official sponsors and committee members, it’s by far our favourite way to kick-start summer.
What’s even more ‘lush’ about this three-day shindig are the pop-up bistros; a smorgasbord of delicacies set up under a fleet of canvassed stalls and tents, dotted all around this happy and harmonious enclave where the party lasts long into the night.
The line up for this year’s bash is looking awesome with headline acts such as ‘party band’ Aftersun returning to the square, which also welcomes brand new guests The Martyn Crocker Band and Joanna Cook, to name but a few.
The food stalls will once again be sizzling, and you’ll be able to indulge in a cultural melange of tempting bites, from pad thai to moreish kebab, with plenty of veggie bites and gluten-free treats. If you fancy a drop, there are locally produced ciders and real ales on tap, plus a handsome selection of Sharpham wines, and lots of juices and mocktails to help quench your thirst.
