The Easter holidays are here! With it comes the welcome return of warm sunshine, pretty tree blossom, fluffy chicks, adorable lambs and egg-cited children everywhere waiting for the Easter bunny to leave a generous haul of chocolate!

1. Torquay’s Dinosaur World

2. Knightshayes Court

A visit to this magnificent Victorian house and beautiful gardens and parkland is a real treat for the whole family, including your four legged members. How much do you know about what hides in their gardens and woods? This Easter you’re invited to become a wildlife expert, identifying giant birds’ eggs, making bird feeders, decorating your own eggs, and of course hunting eggs of the chocolate variety too – available 1st to 13th April.

3. Pennywell Farm

The ever-popular adventure farm at Pennywell, near Buckfastleigh in South Devon offers hands-on animal action to appeal to the whole family. Meet the spring lambs, kid goats and miniature piglets for piggy cuddles as well as the world-famous pig racing. There’s an outdoor play area, tractor and train rides and rabbit go karts for the adrenaline junkies. Over the Easter holidays there are plenty of egg themed activities including a Giant Egg Hunt over Easter weekend.

4. Saltram House

With a house full of treasures to discover and a secret garden to lose yourself in, Saltram National Trust is a beautiful place to visit, particularly in spring. This Easter holidays Saltram are hosting a Planthunter Expedition in their gardens to appeal to adventurers aged 8+. Hunt down the unusual and exotic species and learn where in the world they come from. Chocoholics should plan to visit between 14th and 17th April to coincide with the Easter bunny.

5. Coleton Fishacre

A visit to this luxurious country retreat and stunning garden by the sea is a treat at any time of year, but especially when the spring flowers are in full bloom. For Easter-themed activities visit between 1-17th April and follow the clues left by resident birds around the garden to claim your chocolatey prize. There will also be Easter craft activities over the Easter weekend, including making origami birds and decorating your own wooden eggs to take home.
