It is a cosy one bedroomed 17th century characterful cottage, with sea views and a great place to spend time just relaxing in the living room with its efficient wood burning stove and underfloor heating, or enjoying the views from the little South facing sun-trap terrace beside the cottage.  It has its own convenient private parking area nearby and is close to the wonderful costal paths, leading you to nearby Looe.

This super area of Cornwall has much to offer and to entertain visitors, along with this property being well situated to access the many attractions further afield, like the Eden Project with its tropical domes, Charlestown with its tall ships which has provided the scenic backdrop to many a film and TV location, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and much more.

Can’t wait to use you again and return ????

February 2019

We had a fabulous time! The cottage was perfect for us though the steep hill approach may put off some people but it meant we had a sea view. The property was well furnished and beautifully warm. There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen and a good supply of wood for the log burner. Not that we needed it too much as the underfloor heating worked well and the weather was very kind for February! Lovely shower too! Polperro is a beautiful little village with a great choice of pubs, a little supermarket, bakery and post office where you can get cash. Wonderful walks on the coast path and inland which we made the most of! Of all the places we visited Polperro was definitely the prettiest and very friendly. Highly recommend the cottage and the location!

A fantastic cottage with all the essentials for a relaxing stay.

August 2018

Very comfortable cottage in a quiet location up Talland Hill which gets easier to climb as the week goes by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definitely be back to Polperro for another holiday

July 2018

Comfortable, well equipped cottage ideal for 2 people and a dog. Polperro is a lovely village - great for eating and drinking and providing basic supplies. It's also well located for visiting places or coastal walking which is our preference. We had a problem with the bathroom tap, but the staff at the office in Polperro were very helpful and the owner fixed it within a couple of days. It might be an idea to make people aware of the steepness of the road and the challenge of driving down it!

May 2018

1 Head o' Ditch was perfect,so quaint and cosy with everything one could wish for. It was our first visit to Polperro and it won't be our last. Beautiful walks from the door,an abundance of places to eat and drink with the majority welcoming dogs.We didn't need to use the car as local shops had all the necessary provisions for our stay. Toad Hall Cottages made the booking very straight forward and were always polite and helpful-highly recommended.
