15 The Moorings is a ground floor apartment delightfully located on the waterside in the market town of Kingsbridge in the South Hams. The property is light and spacious and the lounge, master bedroom and patio area all have wonderful views of the estuary and surrounding countryside. The terrace is a tranquil area just yards from the estuary from where one can watch the passing boats or observe the abundant wildlife, dependent on the ever changing tide.

The Moorings is an impressive development situated on the water’s edge of the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and occupies probably the best situation in Kingsbridge. Set in attractive, shared, landscaped and enclosed gardens alongside the estuary, with occasional seating providing an idyllic spot to appreciate the views. All the apartments enjoy these superb views from most of their rooms, balconies and/or terraces with vistas down the estuary towards Salcombe and upstream to the town itself. The wooded banks and meadows on the opposite side are a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The town, a short walk, approximately one third of a mile on the level along the embankment, has a wide range of interesting shops, restaurants, pubs, two major supermarkets and a fine leisure centre. Electric gates secure the entrance to The Moorings and there are designated parking spaces for each apartment and further visitor parking. Good sandy beaches within 5 miles.

Entrance to hall leading to all rooms. Open plan living/dining room comfortably furnished with large sofa, 2 armchairs, occasional tables, Smart TV and DVD player. The dining table seats 4. Access to the terrace is from the living room. Well equipped Kitchen with electric oven and hobs, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Bedroom 1 with king-size bed, estuary views and large fitted wardrobe and drawers. En suite bathroom with walk-in shower, basin, WC, shaver socket and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 with twin beds, large fitted wardrobe and drawers. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin, WC, shaver socket and heated towel rail.

Terrace area with table and chairs. Communal gardens surround The Moorings (not suitable for childrens games).

Private parking for one car in covered car park area. Level walk to entrance door.

Stayed in October 2018 - Nice clean, well maintained apartment. Centrally located making all places of interest within easy reach, whether it be shopping in Salcombe or treking to some of the more isolated beaches and other locations.We will be back in the future!

Stayed in October 2018 - Many visits to Kingsbridge and The Moorings but first time in No. 15. Beautiful, well appointed apartment, every detail well thought out. Spotlessly clean. Weather has been amazing. Visited Coleton Fishacre and Saltram House, Boat to Totnes, train and Living Coasts. Ate in the Creek Inn, Cafe Asia and Bakery - Highly recommend all of them. Lots of waterfowl to see. Beautiful sunsets every night.

Stayed in August 2018 - We have had a most enjoyable week in an ideal apartment in such a beautiful area of Devon - no-one could wish for more. We visited a variety of places - Coleton Fishacre, Saltram, Totnes, Salcombe and had a lovely cream tea at Overbecks at the end with its beautiful gardens and stunning views. We have relaxed at the apartment on the patio, enjoyed the peaceful views and ever-changing view, observing the boats and birds from the window. I hope we will return... such a great holiday which we will always remember! Thank you so much also for the lovely 'welcome pack'.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect and it was lovely to sit and watch all the activity on the estuary. Very well situated to visit South Devon. Recommend The Globe Inn at Frogmore for lovely food.

October 2017 - Very well equipped and furnished (though personally I found the bath towels a little small). Loved being so close to the water, seeing the boats and the ebb and flow of the tide from our bed - what a joy! Paid a second visit to Fast Rabbit Farm. Visited Ayrmer Cover in the aftermath of Hurricane Ophelia (scary). Dined at The Crabshell Inn and The Old Bakery, walked to both. Drove 5 mins to The Old Church House at Churchstow, very old village pub. Thank you for the welcome pack!

Great location and very pleasant apartment, comfortable and well furnished, however now somewhat dated and could do with a refresh. I suspect most tenants would appreciate at least one walk-in shower rather than having to cope with getting in and out of a bath. The shower fittings (one fixed head and one movable hand held) are not easy to use. On first entering the apartment the smell of mothballs is overpowering - they are all over the place. In addition the apertment is a bit stuffy probable due to lack of through air flow especially the sitting room where you also dine. Suggest the sitting room carpet could do with a dry clean which would help the stuffiness.

Firstly, we are delighted that you seem to have had an enjoyable stay and were able to give 'No 15' a five star rating. This is our first year of letting and we are in the process of completely re-decorating the apartment. We hope you liked the delightful second bedroom, the entrance hall and the bathrooms. There are clear instructions by each of the showers and additional grab handles have been fitted. However we do appreciate your feedback. I am sorry you had a problem with the moth prevention. According to Noyces, our wonderful local homeware shop, half of Kingsbridge (and 'No 15') was invaded by moths in August and they could not get supplies quick enough. The apartment was deep cleaned and all the drawers and wardrobes have odour free moth preventatives. The Toad Hall cleaners have been spraying the vulnerable areas on Saturday mornings, which is probably what you smelled when you arrived. I do apologise for this and hopefully it will not have to continue. The only comment I am confused about is the 'bit stuffy'. When we visit we love the glorious Salcombe Estuary air which, with a window set to ventilation, fills the apartment - it is a delight.

Beautiful apartment! We had a fantastic week here. Hiring a motor boat at Salcombe for the day is highly recommended, also a visit to Startpoint lighthouse - the views are amazing. Best beach or children we think is North Sands, the Winking prawn does a great lunch.
