Description

2 Firlands, a charming period cottage, is located in the heart of the lovely West Dorset seaside village of Charmouth, just a few minutes level walk from the beach. The cottage has been lovingly refurbished by the owners to create a really comfortable holiday home. Period features have been retained during the restoration of the cottage, creating an attractive holiday home with lots of character. The cottage benefits from a new kitchen and bathroom as well as a convenient en suite WC to the first floor double bedroom. The accommodation is ideal for families or couples with double, twin and single bedrooms. A pleasant, enclosed patio at the rear along with private off road parking for one car add to the appeal of this delightful, dog friendly cottage. 

The cottage is only a few minutes walk from the famous fossil beach in the unspoilt seaside village of Charmouth that has a small selection of shops and a post office as well as a couple of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. There is also a large park, with a well equipped children's playground, just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. Charmouth is a great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside. There are also regular bus routes running through the village along the Jurassic coast and it's only a five minute drive to the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Harbour.

Ground floor: Lounge with TV/DVD/CD and a 'coal burner style' gas fire. Separate dining roomKitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Bathroom with bath, shower over the bath and WC. First floor: Bedroom 1 - double bed with en suite WC and hand basin (no shower). Bedrooom 2 with twin beds. Bedroom 3 with a single bed.

Private off road parking for one car.

This was our second stay in this beautiful,peaceful cottage.Decorated to an incredibly high standard,everything you could possibly need has been provided.Good quality linen and towels,spotlessly clean are supplied and the bed in the master bedroom is so comfy,I could have stayed there all day! Fantastic walks nearby on the beach or through the recreation ground to the fields with the dogs.Very close to Lyme regis and Sidmouth and Seaton for exploring,10 mins from Bridport for shopping and excellent cream teas at Manor yard.This cottage has everything,location,beautiful decor and surroundings and we are back in September.cant wait!
