2 Southview Terrace is a tastefully modernised character cottage situated in the delightful village of Slapton. This comfortable property perfect for cosy winter breaks exploring the South Hams then warming up by the log burner or a convenient base for a summer seaside holiday. The cottage has an and open plan living space downstairs, double bedroom facing out over the garden a bunk room to the rear and bathroom. Outside the sunny garden is perfect to relax and enjoy admiring the beautiful surroundings of Slapton village.

The picturesque village of Slapton boasts two excellent pubs, a village shop, play park and some stunning walks around Slapton Ley. The millennium field at the top of the village is a fantastic viewpoint for gazing out over the village to Start Bay and the the lighthouse at Start Point. This divine village is situated less than a mile from Slapton Sands, is both 20 minutes drive from the bustling market town of Kingsbridge and the historic town of Dartmouth. The bohemian hub of Totnes is also a 30 minute drive. Slapton is also a great spot to explore the South West Coast Path and all the delights the South Hams has to offer.

Front door opens into small porch, 2 steps up into a beautifully presented lounge with log burner, 2 seater sofa and 2 chairs. Lounge area leads through to kitchen diner, table and seating for 4. Kitchen area with electric double oven and hob, fridge with ice box, filter coffee machine. Rear door from kitchen leads across to separate utility room with WC, washing machine and condenser dryer. Stairs from lounge area to hallway, double bedroom with 4’6’’ double bed at the front of the property, bathroom, bath with shower over, WC and basin. Bunk room with 3’ bunks.

The cottage is accessed along a walkway across the front of the row of cottages. The first garden belongs to 2 Southview. The pretty south facing garden has a small pebble terrace with table and chairs and a lawn. To the rear of the property a walkway provides access to other properties (rarely used).

Not allocated but on street parking available in the village.

We received a nice welcome pack on our arrival to set us up for our weeks break. We were lucky with the weather and thoroughly enjoyed a week of walking and pub visits in the Slapton area. We got back late afternoon most days so were able to find parking nearby to the cottage, perhaps a local landowner needs to open up a field in the village for parking at a nominal fee !

Nice cottage, great for two adults and two young children (ours are 10 and 6). Clean and nice decor. In our opinion the kitchen could be better equipped, i.e. Only four plates, dishes etc and could do with a washing line or airer to hang wet towels and swimwear. Good location, with a play park and two decent pubs all within walking distance!
