Ocean’s Edgea luxurious and prestigious selection of smart modern seaside apartments are set above the sandy horseshoe bay of Thurlestone Sands, South Devon and occupies a position which can only be described as stunning. Stylish and elegant the apartments enjoy well-kept enclosed lawns and a magnificent outdoor heated, kidney shaped, swimming pool (open 22nd May to 9th October) and glorious views across the bay to Thurlestone village, the wide stretches of sandy beach and on to Burgh Island. The coastal path runs in front of the property giving access to miles of wonderful walking at any time of the year, passing the delightful Beach House restaurant a few steps from the door. No. 3, a very comfortable, fresh and bright, all on one level, ground floor apartment is furnished in an attractive New England style with some pretty painted furniture and French doors from all main rooms opening to a sunny private terrace with the pool beyond.

Level entrance into a communal hallway with private front door to the apartment. Hallway. The spacious, most attractive living room has double French doors to the terrace, attractive plantation shutters, limed oak flooring and generous comfortable sofas. A flat screen TV with DVD is provided together with broadband, iPod connections and WiFi. The very smart, well-equipped kitchen area has a ceramic hob, electric double ovens, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, separate freezer and an extending dining table to seat up to 6. Off the hallway is a utility roomwith washing machine, condenser dryer, wash basin, drying rack and coat hooks. There are two delightful bedrooms both with French doors to the terrace. Twin bedroom with two 2ft 6in beds that can be clipped together to form a 5ft double bed. (PLEASE advise at the time of booking if required as a double) En-suite tiled shower room with power shower, basin and WC. The second room has a 5ft double bed, fitted cupboards and an en-suite tiled bathroom with bath, shower over, twin stone wash-basins and WC. 
Please note:  This property sleeps 4 or 3 + a cot.

A gated driveway shared between the apartments, has designated parking for one car with further visitor parking. A path leads around the side of the building to the enclosed lawn gardens that rise gently to the cliff edge that drops away to the beach below. The superb heated pool is surrounded by a paved area and is directly opposite the private enclosed terrace of No. 3 that is supplied with table and chairs to seat 8. Please Note: The cliff edge is not fenced and children will need to be supervised at all times.

Whilst the bathroom and bedrooms were nice and clean, the kitchen and lounge living area was not The kitchen work tops had food crumbs and food residue in places and the cooker top hob was very smeared and greasy. The flooring in kitchen/lounge was not very clean looking with a few bits of food crumbs visible, as we have a 1 year old we have to be mindful of these things, the high chair that was supplied was not clean either The dark blue sofa in the lounge on the head rest dark blue blanket had quite a few blonde hairs on which were very visible upon arrival too, this was very obvious and quite surprising We would like to thank Dan very much for locating and delivering us a replacement cot with a mattress in, he was excellent....... the one that had been supplied did not have a mattress

So sorry that the cleaning wasn't up to standard. We know it doesn't help after the event, but if you'd let us know we would have arranged a re clean for you. We will speak to the cleaner to ensure that in future the cleanliness improves.

Excellent apartment, decor is just right. Very well equipped,. Sea and beach views second to none. So peaceful too. Thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday. Thank you.

A suggestion for the property. A luggage trolley for help with all needed to self cater would make the to and fro from car park so much easier and there is room to store in the hallway.

What a lovely apartment. It had everything we could possibly need. Fantastic location, immaculate interiors, very well equipped, super dvd collection, pool was super although a bit cool but weather was great all week. All in all we had a fantastic holiday. Would love to come again. No mobile phone signal though ( not a bad thing).

We had an excellent week and made use of the pool nearly every day, the location couldn't have been better.
