Spectacular, that’s the only way to accurately describe this newly built, eco friendly property. 59 Marine Drive perches on the cliffs above a sandy bay with the most amazing coastal views from the three balconies. The property itself is luxuriously appointed in a crisp, contemporary style with four bedrooms including two double bedrooms with private balconies, four bathrooms and a large living area with patio doors that open onto the lower sun deck. Here the superb location can be fully appreciated, especially when the trifold doors are opened bringing the sights and sounds of the sea into the room and each balcony provides a superb spot for relaxing in the sun, al fresco dining or watching the sun sink slowly into the sea. A nearby path leads to the beach below, and the house is also a short walk from the golden sands of Bigbury on Sea, which at low tide connect to Burgh Island and the popular Pilchard Inn. This whole area is a haven for lovers of water sports, with plenty of surfing, windsurfing, body boarding, kite surfing and kayaking in evidence.

Stairs down to lowest level and the light and airy living room. The loungearea has a wooden floor and is furnished with two white leather sofas and a leather chaise longue. There is a 42in flat screen TV with DVD, Sky and Mp3/iPod dock and speakers. Thekitchen and dining area has a modern kitchen with granite worktop, integral fridge/freezer, oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher and microwave. Contemporary white dining table with seating for 8. Utility room with washing machine. Downstairs cloakroom with hand basin and WC.
Sun deck with breathtaking sea views, furnished with rattan style garden furniture with cushions and teak garden dining table and chairs. Barbecue area to the side of the property. The remainder of the garden is sloping and undeveloped, so unsuitable as a play area. Young children should be supervised.

- Local Facilities: Beach all around you. Golf 1 mile. Pubs ½ mile. Beach shop & basic supplies 300 yards, Very well stocked village stores and post office at St Annes Chapel 3 miles. Kingsbridge with all facilities 6 miles.
We had a brilliant holiday thank you. The house and location were excellent but I would flag up the following items for future reference: - 1) the 3 stair gates provided for child safety were too narrow to fit securely across any of the stairs and too wide to fit in the bedroom doorways so were therefore unusable; 2) The instructions for dealing with rubbish / recycling (posted on the wall and in the property manual) need to be updated regarding colour / location of the bags / bins to be used; 3) Given that the house accommodates up to 8 adults we found that the cupboard space for food storage was somewhat inadequate and the fridge undersized - a little surprising given that the house has such a large kitchen area. 4) A few items of equipment geared towards younger children would have been appreciated eg plastic plates, cups, cutlery etc. Notwithstanding the above few items we would still give the property 5/5 and recommend to others (in fact we have already!).

We accept that the fridge might be a little small for 8 people, but given that it's a fitted kitchen, it's not easy to change, but we'll pass your comments on to the owner and hope to see you back soon.

Accommodation excellent , loved our holiday , just a few observations to improve things for others No instructions on heating No toad hall attractions discount card Attraction leaflets could do with a tidy up / info pack could be improved Washing machine had DE fault code , which I cured , need to ensure door closed fully, Gardens messy- could do with a tidy up for summer

Fantastic property and location for self catering groups. Not ideal for those who want to eat out due to very limited availability locally.
We have just returned from an amazing break here with friends, the house is wonderful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

59 Marine Drive is an outstanding property, and Bigbury on sea is an absolute gem! The house is ideally suited to a family as there is lots of open space, and plenty of bathrooms to go round! The view from the balconies is fantastic, and you really don't need to go very far to relax!
