Description

If you like the hustle and bustle of Looe, but prefer to be away from it at times, then Amber will prove ideal. Set on a quiet estate at the top of the hill with some lovely countryside views, this bungalow provides spacious accommodation, yet is still within easy reach of the local pub and shops. It is comfortably, if simply, furnished, has a private rear patio area on which to relax and has the advantage of parking directly outside.

Level access from the parking area to front entrance. Spacious living room with open fireplace, two sofas, TV, DVD, video and DAB radio/iPod dock. Archway into well equipped kitchen/dinerwith electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dining table to seat four. Twin bedroom with two 3ft single beds and fitted wardrobes. Double bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed. Bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC. 

Lawn area to the front of the property. A door from the kitchen gives access to a rear porch, which opens out to the private enclosed patio with garden table and bench.

On road within 25 yards or directly outside if available.

  • Local Facilities: Beach and Looe town centre 15 minutes walk down hill, but takes longer up hill. Other south coast beaches are easily accessible by car. Local pub, shops, bakery, general stores, Post Office and newsagents, approximately 300 yards level walk. More shops, pubs and restaurants down the hill in town. Polperro 4 miles. Plymouth 21 miles. Truro 29 miles.

We thought that there might have have been a parking problem but in the event, everything was alright. There is potential for propblems as we noticed people parking in the road that went off elsewhere, not visting nearby properties. We did enjoy our stay and would probably visit again in the future.

Thank you for your comments, I am glad to say that we do not seem to have any problems with guests being able to park outside Amber, and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay.

We were fine but rather surprised by the steepness of the walk into Looe. Very peaceful.quiet location. Excellent directions. Copious hot water. We weren't surprised by it's lack of cottageyness but were delighted by it's cosy, unfussy interior. Very pleased by all interactions with staff, especially when we rang at 10.00am about some outside chairs and brand new ones were waiting for us that afternoon.

Just too difficult to walk from looe as it wasnt made clear how steep and far away it was a good basic bungalow garden smaller than expected

Amber is a lovely little bungalow and we had a very comfortable stay there. It is furnished basically but as we have 2 children & a dog were we're happy that this wasn't a luxurious property. We spent a lot of our time outside exploring Cornwall anyway. However, although it is furnished basically, it was spotlessly clean and the bedding smelled lovely & fresh. No trace of the previous occupants which is always something I will notice, so the housekeeper (who was really lovely & friendly) gets a massive thumbs up from me, she did a cracking job!

We really enjoyed our stay in Amber. It was a great place to go back to after a busy sightseeing day out. Our dog seemed at home too, with great places to take him for a local walk.

Our cottage was a home from home. good sized living space and bedrooms. It provided an excellent base from which to explore South East Cornwall.

can only give excellent praise for we had the best week of the summer i took my dog with us had had the most wonderful holiday found a beach in seaton to take the dog will book there again was clean and tidy.
