Description

Banff is a two bedroom holiday apartment, quietly tucked away behind the main shopping street in the heart of the unspoilt Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis, offering comfortable and well equipped accommodation for couples or families. It has an open plan living area with a lovely large bay window, making it a light and bright apartment. One small or medium sized dog, well-behaved will also be welcomed.  An allocated off-road parking for one car is provided (see details below). This property is the perfect choice for those seeking a seaside apartment with all of the amenities of this unspoilt little coastal town right on the doorstep. The seafront promenade, shops, restaurants, pubs and gardens are all just a stone's throw away. 

As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, a small theatre and a cinema can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town. 

Self-contained apartment - first floor (access via one flight of internal steps from the parking area): Entrance hallway. Open plan living room with easy seating and flat screen TV, dining table and kitchen with electric ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge with ice-box, dishwasher and microwave. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom: with bath, shower over bath, w.c. Utility cupboard with washing machine.  

There is an allocated off-road parking space for one car - please note that the access to the parking area is through a narrow archway from the main shopping street, approximately 1.9m wide at the narrowest point (may not be suitable for some cars). If required, there is plentiful safe public parking a few minutes’ walk from the apartment.

  • Included: Bed linen, WiFi, electricity and heating (electric heating).  Restricted space for one additional infant. Travel cot and childs dining booster seat supplied.  Please bring own towels and own cot linen if required. 
  • Dogs: One small to medium size well behaved dog welcome. (Pet charge £25.00 per week) 
  • Local facilities: Shops, pubs and beach within a minute's walk. Bridport 10 miles.  Exeter 34 miles.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming,comfortable and homely. Good wifi to keep teen happy. Great location and dog and vegan friendly cafes nearby as well as speciality beers next door. Would love to stay again sometime. Driving through narrow access a little nerve wracking

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Banff, the location in the middle of the high street is excellent and so near the sea front too. Wish they could widen that entrance to the car park, luckily we have a small car but it took some careful driving to navigate through!

Had some difficulties operating cooker and microwave. But thought it a lovely property

Had a wonderful stay . The only problem we had was the car was too big for the entry into the rear court yard but the car park at the top of the village was not too much of a problem as we tend not to use the car when on holiday, we use local transport. Have booked holidays through you before and have never been disappointed.

We had a fantastic time. Mum in law, who is 80, walked so much and felt totally at ease in the apartment. My love of real ales was also catered for with Cellar 59 next door! Many visits to Lyme Regis but first time we've stayed there. Will definitely be returning. And using Toad Hall.

The owners appear to have thought of everything one might want on holiday. We were really pleased with our stay. Things like the washing machine, dishwasher, cleaning products, pint of milk dropped off on day 1, biscuits, games, takeaway menus were all really appreciated and made the holiday all the better. It's definitely the most organised rental we have ever stayed at. The location was really well situated for us right behind the high street shops but still really quiet.
