Boshill House is a large, entertaining house set in a quiet backdrop overlooking the beautiful Axe Valley. This family friendly detached house enjoys spectacular views and is just a short 5 mile drive from Lyme Regis, popular for fossil hunting and its beautiful beach. The house is located close to the stunning Jurassic coast and the pretty little village of Axmouth which is home to The Ship Inn, said to be the best East Devon pub for families. From its elevated position overlooking the valley, the house enjoys magnificent open views.

Boshill House is perfect for parties and get togethers, anniversary and birthday celebrations, where all the family are looking to stay under one roof. It has six bedrooms, three ensuite and a large family bathroom. A couple of the bedrooms even include sitting areas with TVs so there is plenty of opportunity for those of all ages to enjoy some private space. On the ground floor there is an additional shower room which makes this a great house for those with limited mobility. There will be no need for fighting over who gets the views in the morning as all rooms offer amazing views across the valley. The spacious lounge and dining room have patio doors straight onto the sun terrace and lawn, with further entertaining space and is large enough for a family football game! The dining room easily accommodates 14 guests around the table with a capacity for 15 if required. If you decide to prepare your own meals, the fully equipped kitchen, including a range cooker, will allow your group to cater for themselves, without tripping over each other.

For those of you looking to do some exercise or to take a break from the festivities, this whole area is a haven for walkers and cyclists with coastal paths, laneways and footpaths. The Ship Inn is not the only good pub in the area. In the villages of Colyford, Seaton and Lyme Regis you will find all the local pubs and restaurants eager to serve you their best, locally sourced food and drink. Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall’s River Cottage shop and restaurant are only a few minutes’ drive away in the East Devon market town of Axminster, if you are looking for somewhere special to eat.

All in all Boshill House offers anyone looking for a holiday everything they need. Space to spend with family and friends, fresh country air and alots to keep adults and children entertained.

Detached house on two floors. Ground floor. Entrance hall. Spacious lounge with large flat screen TV/DVD. Dining room with dining table comfortably seating 14 guests with a maximum capacity of 15 if necessary.  Kitchen/breakfast room with additional easy seating, TV and dining table with four chairs. The kitchen area includes a range cooker, additional separate electric double oven and electric hob, larder fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Separate utility room with two american fridge/freezers, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bedroom 1 (13ft x 10ft on ground floor) with twin beds. Shower room with shower cubicle and W.C. First floor: Bedroom 2 (22ft x 19ft) 5ft bed plus a single bed and sitting area with TV, en suite with shower cubicle and W.C. Bedroom 3 (12ft x 9ft) with double bed. Bedroom 4 (19ft x 13ft) with 6ft superking bed and en suite with shower cubicle and W.C. Bedroom 5 (20ft x 15ft) with 5ft bed and 2 single beds. Bedroom 6 (32ft x 20ft) with 6ft superking bed, sitting area with TV, dressing room with cot and en suite with bath, shower cubicle and W.C. Family bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and W.C.

Amazing views can be seen from tge karge garden with lawn and sun terrace, perfect for entertaining, garden furniture and barbecue.  A pet should be accompanied when in the garden.

We all had a great time - shame the beds in the larger rooms don’t split into twins, as would give you more options - and maybe a hot tub over looking those stunning views as the swimming pool is a temptation that can’t be used. Great meal at Seatown in the Anchor and The Hare & Hounds in Sidmouth. All superb, thank you

We had a great time with our children and grandchildren It was great to have all the family around the magnificent dining table ! The garden was lovely - lots of space to run around and the bedrooms were well appointed some with sitting areas which meant we weren’t on top of each other all the time. The property was well situated as a base fir explore the Jurassic coast

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Our grandchildren 7, 5,3 and 1 didn't stop running or hunting for nature in the garden. Lyme Regis and Seaton were only a short and easy drive away and the local pubs were friendly and served good at reasonable prices.

A great break, property would be fabulous in the summer with the beautiful views and huge outdoor space. Needs the pool and good barbeque facilities for the summer. Too many knick knacks and bits and pieces around that children could break. Far more equipment, glasses etc than needed. Needs proper clasps on doors containing glasses in the dining room. Otherwise a lovely stay

We had an amazing Stay at Boshill house, and would highly recommend this property to anyone. The house and grounds are beautiful. We could not believe how big the house was anf breathtaking views. Beds very comfy, House very clean, 2 dishwashers 2 American fridge freezers, 2 ovens, plenty of crockery and cutlery, Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 5* house. We will be back.

This house was booked by my daughter's and husband as a surprise weekend away fir my 70th birthday. There was 10 of us sharing the house and we all loved it. The house is huge, the garden and views are amazing. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. House was very clean throughout, beds were extremely comfy. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Thanks very much to the owners who were very friendly and helpful. We will hopefully be back in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious, and there was varied combinations of furniture in bedrooms which suited our unusual group of family! The newly fitted en-suites were of a very high standard. The views were amazing, and there were plenty of places to visit within a close range. I cant imagine anyone being unhappy with Boshill House. Some areas needed updating, but were exceptionally clean. I know the owners have this on their agenda to improve for future guests. The price was good too, and would love to go back again some time in the summer.!!!

We absolutely loved it. It was the perfect place for a family get together for my 70th birthday. There was plenty of room to spread ourselves both downstairs and up. The children loved running round the garden and the views were amazing. It was in easy reach of beaches and activities for children as well as interesting places to visit. We'd love to go back if we can get enough people all at the same time. We're planning it already. A massive thank you.

The house was very clean and bigger than expected. The decor and facilities such as the showers are rather dated but that did not affect our enjoyment or comfort.

Boshill Cottage provides a fantastic base in which to explore Seaton & Lyme Regis. Perfect for access to the Seaton Tramway, which was a highlight of our stay. The house itself was everything we hoped for and the garden provided the ideal space for a family bar-b-q & games. Thank you so much!

This house is a lovely well kept family holiday home with outstanding views, fabulous garden for games, very large rooms. Very well catered for everyone young and old, plenty of books, music, board games, well equipped kitchen etc. The drive way is large enough for plenty of parking for cars.
