We had a great holiday with our family of 4 and Archie the dog. The location of this property is really good a short walk from the yacht basin, the river and the town centre. Terrific walks and cycle rides along the Solent Way. We enjoyed meals at Rivaaz (Indian / Bangladeshi food), the Kings Head, the Mayflower (very close to property), the Fishermans Rest and Koh Thai Tapas and a great breakfast at Cafe Aroma. Also lots of nice walks in the New Forest.
Please accept the above comments in the spirit in which they are given. We really enjoyed our stay in Bourne House and would be happy to recommend the property to others. It was comfortable and provided everything we could possibly need for our stay. The location was perfect for us and we were blessed with excellent weather, perfect for exploring the surrounding areas.
The house is surprisingly spacious and in a good residential location with plenty of street parking. It's well located with easy walks to the High Street, Sea Wall walk and the Quay. The house is in need of updating and redecoration and there is way too much personal stuff, particularly in the kitchen. We didn't like the fact that the owner and her son were in the house when we arrived and had clearly been living there.
Bourne House is ideally located in Lymington and is an excellent base for a family holiday. The property is undergoing refurbishment and redecoration during weeks that it is available. The owner does occasionally stay at the property. However, we would like to apologise for the fact that she was still at the property when you arrived. We hope that you still enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back to the New Forest in the future.

We have had previous visits to this property because of its proximity to Lymington. It is a lovely house and very convenient and on the whole we enjoyed our stay. For the cost of the stay we feel improvements could and should be made.
Lovely cottage, light and bright, very comfy bed, well equipped and great location
Thank you so much for letting us share your lovely home. The walks through the salt marshes to the sea are wonderful
