Wonderful family holiday to celebrate my 80th birthday. Lots to do in this area, with a beautiful house and garden to enjoy. Many thanks.
Beautiful and peaceful location. Really comfortable and cosy. Infants loved playing in the garden. Lovely living accommodation. Lots of space. Ideal place for a large family holiday. Al you could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. The whole family enjoyed themselves.
We really enjoyed our stay at Broad Oak House. The house was spacious and very suitable for our family party of three generations with two sets of young grandchildren. We loved the well equipped garden and being able to walk straight out into The New Forest for walks. The children loved seeing the ponies over the garden gate in the mornings. The house was very comfortable with an interesting diversity of furniture.
Our stay exceeded our expectations. A cafetiere or coffee making machine would have been nice.
The house was beautiful, luxurious, spacious and in an amazing location. The massive garden was a lovely space for our all age family holiday. Very relaxing.
This was a wonderful high class property and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. Our party ranged in age and from 1 to 85 and we were all very comfortably accommodated. The garden is stunning and as we were blessed with glorious weather we took full advantage of it. The BBQ was really big and easy to use. The ice making fridge was also a popular feature. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Broad Oak with three other families, so we were 8 adults and 8 children aged 1-6 years old. We had a perfect holiday as the property is fantastic for families as there is plenty of space inside the house and within the grounds. The bedrooms are huge and four of the bedrooms are are en-suite, which meant the four couples had our own en-suite. The garden is safe and fully enclosed which made the holiday very relaxing, and the house backs onto the forest so we saw ponies most mornings which the children loved. The house is clean and very well equipped. We ate outside at the large outdoor table most evenings and enjoyed BBQing. There is plenty to do for families, we loved cycling in the forest, and it's a flattish cycle to Bolderwood through the forest, which the older children managed, and they enjoyed the Gruffalo trail. Burley has several pubs shops and places to buy ice cream. We went to Paulton's Park to Peppa Pig World which was good and we had some trips to the coast, to include Sandbanks which is a lovely beach and we visited Highcliffe Castle to explore the castle and we then walked down to the beach. Broad Oak is a fantastic holiday house, in a great location and we will stay again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday Vicky,
We rented Broad Oak House for a week to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday. There were 15 guests which included sons, grandchildren & great grand children. We had a fantastic week at Broad Oak House. We were met at the house by Vicky who gave us a very warm welcome. Vicky personally walked us around the house. She had laid the the table and ensured that every thing was perfect. Which it was. The house is amazing with everything you need to make it a special week. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the Forest, yet only a 15 minute walk to Burley where their are pubs, restaurants & shops. Get in the car and all the attractions of the New Forest are nearby. The grounds are amazing with lawn, sun traps, vegetable patches and much more to explore. Ideal for children We would highly recommend this property and Vicky, the owner & host, was great Perfect !!
The owner, Vicky, gave us a very welcome feeling. She even went out of her way to extra accommodate us with our wishes. The location was perfect for a quiet New Forest holiday. We will be back!!!
The holiday was a total delight, which was largely due to the ideal location and the wonderful quality of the house and its equipment, It is just out of the village and has gates opening from the garden into the forest. There were many easy walks and lovely bogs for the children to play in. We were so grateful for the washing machine, tumble drier and huge airing cupboard! The house is very spacious, warm and comfortable. We loved every aspect of our stay in Broad Oak House and intend to return. I can give no higher recommendation than that. The owner is very friendly too.
