We enjoyed our stay very much thank you.
Wonderful stay. The property accommodated three families and gave us room to sit together and eat together.
We did enjoy our stay, the weather was very kind to us. The information pack needs up dating. e.g. the harbourmaster has changed and has a different contact number. We enjoyed a very good lunch at the Beach Hut on the National trust beach at Thursestone.
This one of the best holiday houses we have ever stayed in.
Yes we had a wonderful holiday
Despite the bad weather, we had an excellent time. Burnt House is a very comforting base to return to after the daily battle with the elements on Bantham Beach. This was our third year in Burnt House; our 12th with Toad Hall Cottages; and about 60 years since we first came as children ourselves. Now we come with our children and grandchildren.
We are thrilled and delighted that you had another enjoyable stay and look forward to welcoming you and four family members back in teh not too distant future. From the Toad Hall Team

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burnt House which proved to be perfect for our family reunion, everyone thought the house to be ideal, spacious, well appointed and homely. Loved by all
We very much enjoyed our stay at Burnt House. The place was imacculate when we arrived, and so well equipped. Comfortable bedrooms and sitting room- very cozy with the log burner. We're already planning on making it an annual trip! Wonderful house, thanks so much for such a fab holiday.
We loved our stay at Burnt House - the property was in a fantastic location, rooms were really spacious and kitchen was perfectly equipped to cater for our whole party. Would love to come back next year!
Despite the comments above we did enjoy our holiday. The house was lovely and spacious. We appreciated the concern of the owner ring ing up on Monday to see we were alright.
We would certainly rebook for the same week in 2018 and would like first refusal on any other weeks which might become available in August .
Had a lovely week, excellent house and garden.
The best holiday cottage I have ever used. Will certainly be booking it again in the future. Many thanks.
The semi-permeable fabric table covering on the main dining table was difficult to keep clean. It tended to absorb stains, making them almost impossible to wipe off and its rough surface tended to hold crumbs! The slipped slate on the north-east corner, which we mentioned last year, does not seem to have been restored to its correct position. Other than those items, we once again really enjoyed the house and its facilities. On a wider perspective, I am already looking at possibilities for 2018 but am finding the new Toad Hall web site awful to use.
We all loved Burnt House so much ( a mix of adults and three teenagers). Really lovely bedrooms and we all had our own bathrooms so no queuing after a visit to the beach. Great social living spaces for a big family. The surrounding grounds and gardens set in the quiet valley were idyllic. The gorgeous Bantham beach just a 10-15 minute walk away...what more could you want.
Simply one of the best holiday properties we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. To find a property with 5 such spacious bedrooms , all with excellent en-suite facilities is almost unbelievable. We very much look forward to going again next year
Very satisfied with Toad Hall across the board. Excellent properties in lovely locations at a good price.
We had a perfect week at Burnt House. The owners had thought of everything and we all loved the sunny aspect of the house. We were two families with 5 children between us aged 10-14 and we enjoyed the nearby beaches, and the lovely garden. We hope to return soon.
This is a beautifully presented house - that was perfect for our holiday of three generations - Suited everyone from grandparents to energetic childeren and babe. Large spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Thank you
