Step out onto the private patio with enclosed garden enjoying the adjoining flowerbeds where the owner also grows a wide selection of fruit and vegetables and there are views across the fields to the sea. Opposite are the owner's horses and in the nearby courtyard are ducks and chickens. Fresh flowers and free range eggs are supplied free of charge. There are plenty of good woodland and canal walks within a short distance of the cottage. It is an outstanding springtime location, highly recommended for its beautiful wild flowers and wildlife - bunnies, young pheasants and March hares in abundance, you may even be lucky enough to spot hares boxing in the nearby meadow!
Ramp up to stable door entrance and into a spacious living room and kitchen with wood panelling across one wall, beams and stripped pine floor. Furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, TV, DVD, radio/CD player, coffee table and electric log effect woodburner. Fully fitted kitchen with large worktop area, plenty of cupboards, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, full combi microwave and washer dryer. The owners and their family made us very welcome. Location was amazing and facilities were spot on. We would definitely recommend Buttsbeare Cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway
Lovely quiet retreat, with kind hosts. Private garden and sun terrace were lovely at end of day sightseeing. Added bonus of paddock for dog walking was happily enjoyed by us and Bailey our cavapoo. Hope to return again and again.
Loved our stay here, and we would certainly recommend to friends
Yes we had a lovely week at buttsbears cottage
Had a lovely week in a perfect home from home. Lovely owners. Would go again at the drop of a hat .
The owners son Robert who we dealt with on arrival and during our stay was very polite friendly and very helpful. He also provided us with fresh fruit and dairy products throughout our stay. A very enjoyable week and would stay again.
brill spot, lovely cottage, used twice this year.
Enjoyed stay although cottage was a bit isolated. Local walks not as good as described.
So sorry you didn't enjoy the local walks, when we were there we thought they were super.

Lovely owners. Great property. Very comfortable. Good location to explore around Bude. Loved seeing the horses dogs and chickens.
Had a wonderful time. So relaxing and just what we needed. Would definitely return and definitely recommend the cottage to our friends.
We had a wonderful holiday at Buttsbeare Cottage. It is so comfortable and great for our blind, diabetic dog as only one room to navigate and being able to step straight out into the garden very good. It is so quiet and peaceful here. We enjoyed the very hot sunny afternoons on the sun loungers watching the swallows flying overhead. Who could ask for anything more.
Lovely peaceful place to stay well equipped cottage
Wonderful stay great hosts fantastic location. Recommend for a peaceful holiday
Very much enjoyed the rural and peace and quiet
The cottage was lovely and clean and totally away from all the noise. We had a lovely week even though the weather was not particularly kind.
We have used Toad Hall several times always with super results.
Surprised that Buttsbeare Cottage is not in next year's brochure. I found it delightful.
It's such a perfect location very quiet and a private field to exercise the dogs. Accomodation was very well equipped and the cream tea on arrival was just perfect.
the cottage was perfectly situated for visiting North Cornwall with its own private garden. The owners were very friendly and helpful when needed. We had a very restful and relaxing stay. Could not have wished for anything better.
Wonderful relaxing property in the country,Good Base to start from to get around places Very comfy bed didnt want to get up. peaceful location.Lovely touch a cream tea left for us on arrival.
Lovely quiet out of the way location but easy reach for towns and beaches. The barn conversion was very roomy and probably the best shower ever.
My partner and I had a great stay at Buttsbeare Cottage last summer. The peace and views were just what we wanted while the animals really added to the charm of the place. We did some exploring around Cornwall but mainly just enjoyed the local walks and the sunny garden. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all for a bit... we didn't want to leave! The accommodation itself was big enough for the two of us, clean and tidy and had everything we needed including fresh eggs and strawberries from the owners garden!
