This area is a magnet for those who enjoy walking and the great outdoors and the nearby village of Cheriton Bishop has an inn serving good food as well as a well-stocked local shop. The cathedral city of Exeter, only 20 minutes away, is well worth a visit and provides a host of amenities and cultural pursuits. We really enjoyed our week at Caxton Cottage. What a lovely place to stay. The welcome of cake and flowers was most appreciated, together with a tour of the cottage and gadget instructions. Shower and jacuzzi bath are both great and we were comfortable all week. A great place to return to after our days out, so much room and so well equipped. The dog was welcomed too and had a great holiday. Would thoroughly recommend.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Caxton Cottage is a delightful home away from home and a perfect home base from which we could explore the area. Local pubs and attractions die not disappoint.
We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend.
This was our first visit to Dartmoor and using Toad Cottages, we certainly will be using you again, maybe in other locations. The cottage we staying in was of a high quality and cleanliness, the owner made us feel very welcome and everything we could have needed to make our stay enjoyable was available. Like home from home.
We had an excellent stay, this was lovely accommodation and the owner met us on arrival and was really helpful. The cottage was a home from home with all the equipment you need ,and in fact more We hope to return with our daughter and her family
We have had a wonderful week at Caxton Cottage and if you are looking for 1st class commendation in Devon we would certainly recommend it. The warm welcome on our arrival was much appreciated as was the flowers and delicious cheesecake. The cottage is in a beautiful area and is very well maintained and equipped. We have certainly enjoyed our family holiday here and would definitely come back again. We espically loved the peaceful garden and surrounding Dartmoor area.
