Description

Challadene is a fabulous contemporary property located in a prime location literally a stone’s throw from the popular sandy beach of Challaborough, with a holiday complex further behind the house and an excellent fish and chip shop, pub and beach shop close by. This fantastic destination cannot be beaten for a family friendly beachside holiday in the most beautiful of properties right by the sea. A short walk along the South West Coastal Path leads to the adjacent coastal village of Bigbury on Sea also with its own fabulous sandy beaches and the iconic Burgh Island with it’s 1920’s hotel, tales of smugglers and pirates. With dramatic and stunning scenery, set in the midst of the South Hams this beachside property provides great accommodation at any time of year.  

Please note: In low and mid season a reduced rental is available for smaller parties of up to 6 utilising the main house only, the caravan will only be available at the full occupancy rate.

NB: Challaborough Beach permits Dogs from 30th September to 1st May. Coastal Path adjacent. 

Gentle steps lead up to the entrance. Ground floor with underfloor heating: Hallway and cloak area, with utility room furnished with washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave, large fridge freezer and storage cupboards.  Large open plan living room with floor to ceiling wide opening doors join the inside to the great outdoors and the sights and sounds of the sea. Lounge area with large sofas and armchair, flat screen wall mounted television and DVD with SKY, log burning stove. Beautiful fitted kitchen with gas Rangemaster, dishwasher, undercounter fridge and island unit. Dining area to seat eight, whilst enjoying views of the sea. Ground floor bedroom 1; 4ft 6inch bed with chest of drawers and hanging hooks, en suite walk in wetroom with rainfall shower and seat, vanity unit with basin, heated towel rail and WC. Bedroom 2: 4ft 6inch double bed with chest of drawers and hanging hooks. Open staircase leading to the open plan first floor Master bedroom Suite, sumptuously furnished with ornate 5ft double bed, large balcony looking directly out to sea, sofa and wall-mounted television. Dressing area with built in wardrobes and dressing table. Luxurious en suite bathroom with modern freestanding roll top bath, large walk in shower area with rainfall shower, vanity unit, heated towel rail and WC.

In the Cabin which is accessed across the terrace: Immaculately presented caravan with living area, fully central heated with large flatscreen TV, Sky TV, DVD player, kitchenette with cooker fridge and microwave. Double bedroom, 4ft 6inch bed and ample storage, en suite access to shower room, WC and basin. Twin room with two 2ft 6inch beds most suitable for children. Please note that this will not be available when a reduced occupancy rate is received.

Large undulating paved terraces with garden table and chairs, charcoal barbecue and low level wooden fencing.

Ample parking for 2 or 3 cars on private gated parking area.
