Chantry Cottage is a beautiful and charming period home dating back over 200 years and is nestled in a tranquil hamlet in West Dorset. This fabulous property has been beautifully refurbished both inside and out. Stylish and comfortable, the living room has a log burner, perfect for those spring and autumn evenings after exploring all this lovely area has to offer. There is a small private patio at the rear of the property and a peaceful lawned area at the front complete with views over the countryside.  A perfect spot to relax, unwind and watch the sun go down with a chilled glass of wine.  The location makes it an ideal holiday base for exploring both Devon, Dorset and the famous Jurassic Coast. The impressive design combines to create a wonderfully relaxing home for guests to unwind.  Its delightful character creates an unforgettable experience and offers all the convenience for a superb holiday within a short drive of the coast.  The area is a haven for local wildlife at all times of the year. The french doors from the kitchen area also open onto a patio where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of countryside tranquility. 

Its rural yet central location within Hodgeditch Farm provides pretty, uninterrupted countryside and river views and is less than a 5 minute drive from the local shop and pub.  This characterful property has been thoughtfully presented and offers bright and generous size accommodation.

When you’re not being charmed by the chickens, sheep and resident pheasant, you’ll find lots of walks and places to visit in the immediate area.  Chantry Cottage provides a fantastic base for trips to the coast such as Lyme Regis and Charmouth and into Somerset and east Devon where there are many attractions within a 30 and 45 minute drive, after which you will return home to a wood burning stove, or a chance to see the sun set from the garden.  A short drive away are the popular Jurassic Coastal towns of Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay.  This property is just 3 miles from the bustling town of Chard and close by is Ford Abbey and Gardens and plenty of delightful walks and bridleways are on the doorstep.
