July 2018

We really enjoyed the property and the location. The countryside and the views were spectacular and we were treated to various sightings of the local barn owl! The property was gorgeous with room for our extended family and we spent a good deal of time in the lovely private garden. Simone and Dave were super hosts and the house had everything we could have wanted. It was useful to be in striking distance of Totnes as some of our party arrived and departed by the train. All in all a splendid holiday. Thank you Toad Hall for our (we reckon) 14th year of super summer holidays in the South Hams.

July 2018

Simone and David were great hosts, always personable and nothing was too much trouble. It was great being Lord and Lady of the Manor, if only briefly! We had wonderful views, great weather and were away from the crowds, I know, I can be anti social! I'll be ringing Monday 16-07-18 to see if we can sort out next year!

May 2018

Dave and Simone run a fantastic house, very clean and tidy, fully equipped with lovely well appointed rooms and well manicured grounds. They gave advice when sought and told us when the wild deer were about the fields.

Yes thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this property, we find the location very central for exploring different areas, beach, moor, towns even into Cornwall. It is so peaceful there and we feel relaxed as soon as we arrive. So much space for all the family. It was our third year & we intend returning next year. Simone & Dave are perfect hosts, always on hand for any advice.

April 2018

We loved rural location but would not suit most, as limited walking opportunities and you had to use cars all the time.

August 2017

The cottage was fine - just found it a little isolated

Charford Manor is in a gorgeous rural setting. When you step out into the garden it feels as though you are in the middle of the countryside.

June 2016

Beautiful house in tranquil setting, perfect for a large family holiday with kids. Has a homely feel to it, making you feel very comfortable. Lots of toys, books, kitchen equipment and information available. Bathrooms of a good standard with powerful showers. Large rooms throughout. The garden is extremely picturesque & peaceful. It has a washing line, BBQ & large table with chairs on the patio. We can't wait to return!
