Cobb Barn is an unusual traditional stone converted barn, tucked in the corner of a very peaceful courtyard that forms the prestigious development of Church Farm set in the heart of the village of Thurlestone. Cobb Barn is on four floors and enjoys good village and country views from the upper levels. Attractively and comfortably furnished this excellent house has a delightful, enclosed and private garden that extends from the living areas and in all, the property provides a most comfortable base from which to enjoy Thurlestone and the area; the village pub and shop are just around the corner and the sandy stretches of Thurlestone Sands are a ten to fifteen minute stroll. Your holiday at Cobb Barn will get off to a great start as the owners thoughtfully provide a welcome pack which includes a complimentary bottle of wine.

Front door into hallway with spacious cloaks cupboard and door into large utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Stairs to second floor to the living areas. Attractive light and bright living room with laminate wood floor and dual aspect windows that enjoy courtyard and country views and large patio doors that open to the terrace and garden. The sitting area is comfortably furnished with armchairs and two sofas, TV with BT Sports,  DVD, CD player and wood burner. A large dining table seats 7 and double glazed doors open to the very well equipped and fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric built-under oven, integral fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The bedrooms are located on the first and third floors. First floor: Master bedroom with 6ft bed (3ft twins, clip and zip linked), fitted cupboards and a smart en-suite shower room with shower cubicle with rose-head shower, basin in vanity unit and WC. Second double bedroom with 5ft bed (2ft 6in twins, clip and zip linked) and fitted cupboards. Tiled bathroom; bath with shower over, basin and WC. Third floor: A single bedroom with 3ft bed and hanging rail. A mezzanine walkway above the living room leads to the fourth twin bedroom with two 3ft beds and fitted cupboard. Adjacent shower room with shower, basin and WC.

A delightful suntrap of a garden extends from the living room. A paved terrace is provided with table, chairs, parasol, loungers and the gently sloping enclosed lawns are surrounded by shrubs. At the front of the property a bricked driveway provides parking for 2/3 cars and there is further visitor parking elsewhere in the courtyard.

Yes really enjoyed the holiday. Location a little restrictive for those with a baby in pushchair.

Cobb Barn is a 4 storey property with accomodation split over 3 floors, and offers plenty of space and ample accommodation though this may prove slightly more challenging for those with a baby in a pushchair. However the immediate vicinity hopefully makes up for this with its great beaches, easy access to local shop and family friendly village pub. We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday. We were extremely lucky with the weather so this enhanced the holiday. The property and location could not have been better. Everything was supposed close to hand with so many options for walking and enjoying the coast

The cottage could do with a hairdryer and ice cream scoop. The scoop is to avoid risking damage to the cutlery. In all other respects a lovely cottage complemented by generally good weather so we could enjoy both the cottage and its lovely garden. The Village Inn was pretty good and exceeded the reviews we found on the internet. The Village shop was very handy for everything we missed at Sainsburys aw well as lovely fresh bread and scones.

WE STAYED AT COBB BARN IN THE WORST STORMS THE RESIDENTS OF THURLESTONE COULD REMEMBER. WE HAD A 15 MONTH AND 84 YEAR OLD IN OUR PARTY, BUT FELT QUITE SAFE AND SNUG IN THIS BEAUTIFUL, SHELTERED LOCATION. WE SPOKE TO THE OWNER BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER OUR VISIT WHICH WE APPRECIATED VERY MUCH. WE ARE ALSO MOST IMPRESSED THAT THERE WAS NO INCREASE IN FEES FOR THE WEEK FOLLOWING OUR VISIT, WHICH WAS HALF TERM. THE PROPERTY WAS EXCELLENT, CLEAN, WARM AND VERY WELL APPOINTED. WE WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO RETURN IN THE SUMMER.
