October 2018

August 2018

The road to the cottage is longer than we thought and very narrow drivers should be warned not to co too fast due to needing passing places if you meet anyone coming the other way

June 2018

May 2018

One of the best holidays ever...and loved the garden

May 2018

Perfect cottage for us. Our third visit. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

December 2017

We had a lovely Christmas in Compass Cottage. we had to contact the caretaker on our first day with a query about the oven (user error!!) and she couldn't have been more helpful. we look forward to our next visit in May 2018.

October 2017

We had a wonderful time. Cottage was very homely and we loved our stay. Location for Dartmoor and the nearby seaside resorts is ideal. Beautiful historic cottage and we will certainly stay again sometime. Thank You :-)

September 2017

The cottage was renovated to a high standard and very peaceful, we enjoyed our stay

September 2017

Would book with your company again and recommend to others

August 2017

Yes, thoroughly enjoyable stay.

June 2017

Enjoyed our stay and fortunately had been prepared for the parking problems so managed ok . The stairs in the property are very steep and more should be made of this. We did enjoy the cottage and a good location but dint realise the location was quite so rural with no village shop etc within walking distance .

October 2016

One of the best cottages we have rented in Devon. Maybe the bed could have been bigger, but getting it up the stairs would be tricky.

August 2016

Perfectly good cottage in a quiet location but also near everything you would need and central for visiting a multitude of places. We would without doubt book again.

July 2016

Superb cottage! Comfortable and relaxing stay. Quiet area and ideal for exploring the moors! Had a great week that went too quickly. Would definitely recommend! Milk and cake were a great touch - thank you!

January 2016

Totally unique cottage and ideal for an "escapism" getaway

November 2015

Beautiful cottage with such character. Loved all the extra touches. Our two dogs loved the area which is perfect for walking. Loved staying for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. We will be back.

November 2015

Beautiful cottage, a real home from home. Nice touches such as washing up liquid, soap etc really make a difference. Parking is a challenge in a Landrover but doable. Stairs initially scary but are easy if you take it slow.

November 2015

Lovely spacious cottage. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen / diner. Stairs and parking not an issue for us. Great wet room - we wanted to take the shower home with us!! Would stay here again.

November 2015

The house is great and full of charm. We would recommend Ullacombe Farm Shop for supplies and good food. The stairs are fun but all part of the charm. Dogs had a great time. We all enjoyed it and will be back.

November 2015

Beautiful cottage with lovely touches - cakes, flowers and milk in the fridge. Garden very relaxing to sit in. Would recommend Teignmouth as very dog friendly. Very mixed weather; glad we brought our raincoats and sun cream!

August 2014

August 2014

We will certainly explore using Toad Hall cottages again as very impressed with the service and value for money. Many thanks, we had a fabulous week.

July 2014

Compass Cottage is beautifully renovated in keeping with it's character, and well equipped with all mod cons. It is in a good location for moorland walks, excellent local pubs and sandy beaches. It is best suited to fairly agile adults/older child due to steep and narrow stairs and outside steps. A small car would be best as the parking by the garage is awkward for turning round and we were unable to park out the front after day 1.
