We had a lovely stay, the property is located perfectly for the things we wanted to do whilst in the area. We have stayed in Driftwood a couple of times before but felt that this time is was looking in need of a bit of care. On Monday when we had heavy rain and strong winds water leaked in above the landing window, it was nothing major and a tea towel easily mopped it up but it is something that needs looking at. As it wasn't anything drastic I have left it until this week to report the problem. That said we would consider staying at Driftwood again in the future.
Very much enjoyed our stay. Older people might find the very steep stairs difficult. A few more table knives and teaspoons would be useful. Lots of very good sharp knives are provided.
We are pleased to see you enjoyed your stay at this lovely thatched cottage. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to the owners.

Although this cottage could technically sleep 4 adults and two children the downstairs space is very limited. There is really only seating for 3. It would have been helpful to have more information such as how to operate the heating and what to do with rubbish. There were some logs for the wood burner but no matches or firelighters which would be helpful outside the Summer season. We did bring our own towels but it seems odd to supply linen but not towels - it's not very nice packing up wet towels on the day of departure. We stay in a lot of cottages and most provide towels. The cottage was well equipped and it was good to have a dishwasher even in a small kitchen. The coastal decor is a nice touch. The cottage was good value for money.
We are pleased to see you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and many thanks for the useful feedback. We have been informed that the matches and firelighters are in a box to the left of the wood burner on the floor (for security with children) - We do apologise if this was not clear. We will pass on your other comments to the property owner for their consideration.
