Description

Eddystone, a spacious and comfortable property is ideal for a family or two families sharing and is situated just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hope Cove, a pretty former fishing village with glorious golden sandy beaches. This South facing holiday property offers great outdoor space on the wide decking in front of the property, perfect for relaxing or dining in the sun. The house also offers wonderful coastal views from the upper floors and the large converted attic room. Eddystone has a homely feel to it, so it’s easy to relax after the exertions of the day and the lounge and separate dining rooms allow plenty of space for the family to get together, discuss the events of the day and argue about what to do tomorrow. A bottle of Prosecco also awaits guests on their arrival.

From the enclosed back garden, access to the property through the rear door. On this level there is a single bedroom with 3ft bed with an additional pull out bed to convert into a double room (upon request). Utility room with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer leading to the family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC. Kitchen/dining room with electric hob, oven and grill, fridge with ice box and microwave. Archway to the spacious dining area with table with seating for 8 people. Sitting room with twin sofas, an armchair and beanbag, feature stone fireplace (not useable), TV with Freeview, sound bar (bluetooth access for music), CD and iPod dock. Patio doors open onto the large decked area. Stairs from hall leading to first floor. Master bedroom with 5ft double bed and rural views. Twin bedroom with two 3ft single beds. Bunk bedroom with 3ft bunk beds and cot. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC. Stairs leading up to large loft conversion room with TV, futon and two cane armchairs with stunning views of Hope Cove and the sea from the window seat.

Patio doors leading to a large South facing decked area.  Enclosed sloping garden to the rear and space for a small boat trailer.

For two cars (potentially 3 if small cars) at rear of property. There is space for a dinghy trailer depending on how many cars in parking area.

  • Included: Bed linen and towels, (guests must provide their own beach towels), travel cot, electricity and oil central heating.
  • Pets: One well behaved dog welcome. (Pet charge £25.00 per week).
  • Telephone: Telephone for incoming calls and outgoing emergency calls. Mobile reception poor. Wi-Fi.
  • Local Facilities: Two sandy beaches within easy walking distance. Other South coast beaches easily accessible by car. Pub, restaurants, village shop and Post Office all in easy walking distance. Kingsbridge 5 miles. Salcombe 4 miles.

January 2018

This house was just the perfect location. For our family to gather for Christmas. There was lots of room for smaller children and teenagers to chill, adults too. The exterior was immaculate too and in between the gales we could spend time on the decking looking g out over the harbour. There was a Christmas tree in place and even Christmas crackers on the table. The kitchen was very well equipped and we could do a full festive dinner and not miss any utensils from home. The staff at the booking office at Toad Hall were so polite and helpful. Will certainly book again as in our opinion it as perfect.
