Visitors are in for a real treat when they stay at Glintings holiday cottage in Polperro, Cornwall. Perched on the hillside with magnificent views over the village of Polperro and down to the harbour, this spacious detached cottage offers a perfect retreat for a holiday in Cornwall.  A lovely large, sunny living and dining room is a perfect place to unwind, with French doors that open out onto a lawned terrace, ideal for that early morning cup of coffee or drinks in the evening, and a beautiful log-burner for when the weather turns chilly. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, all with great views. The garden extends up beside the house with a terraced patio that encourages al fresco dining, having prepared your meal in the spacious kitchen. Polperro is one of those all year round destinations, with lovely scenic walks that meander along the coastal path and cosy inns full of atmosphere. The narrow streets, crowded around the harbour have a host of little shops selling local curios and antiques and there are several excellent restaurants and tea rooms. Then, at the end of the day Glintings provides a tasteful and beautifully furnished home from home, with all the creature comforts to ensure your stay is a relaxing and memorable experience.

Please note: short breaks and low occupancy is available in low and mid season, please phone the Polperro office on: 01503 272303 for further information.

Lovely lounge/diner with wooden flooring, spectacular views, two leather sofas and armchair, log-burner, flat screen 40” TV with Freeview and DVD and dining table to seat eight. Kitchen with shaker style units, gas hob, built-under electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and dining table to seat six. Stairs up to the first floor. Master bedroom with 5ft king size bed, fitted wardrobe and dual aspect windows looking down to the harbour. Twin bedroom with two 3ft single beds and fitted cupboard. Bunk bedroomwith 3ft bunk beds and fitted cupboard. Large family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC and heated towel rail..

Please Note: As the property is approached via a flight of steps (50 but quite shallow), this cottage is not suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Grassed terrace to side of cottage with small garden table and chairs. Steps up to patio terrace, furnished with table and chairs to seat up to 8 (although pictured, the parasol is no longer provided). The garden also extends up behind the cottage to a further grassed area, but owing to the steepness of the steps, we would not recommend its use.

August 2019

Phoned caretaker as couldn’t get warm water for a shower on our first night but never called back which was disappointing. We managed to eventually work it out for ourselves as we think the property had been empty for a while. We still enjoyed our time there and will definitely return to Polperro!

June 2019

Had a lovely stay at the cottage, took a walk into Looe via the coastal path with a stop off at Talland Bay. Had a superb meal at Couch's just down the hill. A nice pint in the Blue Peter pub. Finished the week nice chilled and relaxed, the objective of our getaway.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your stunning house. We don't want to leave! It's so lovely here, and the views are outstanding. Went to Mevagissey, Charlestown, Fowey, Lanhydrock House. So much to see and d. Loved every minute, an absolute joy.

June 2019

Glintings had it all so a huge thank you for thinking of all the things we may have forgotten. The kids loved Talland Bay (hit the "Smugglers" meat/fish BBQ) and for sunsets!

June 2019

We had a fantastic time in Polperro. Lovely cottage in a great location. We can't wait to return next year. All the people are so friendly here and all the pubs are so welcoming.

January 2019

Yes lovely stay Thankyou Would of liked parking but closer steep hill

November 2018

Very enjoyable. Additional parking space which we paid for was occupied when we arrived which wasn’t ideal due to the nature of Polperro and glinting location but your office got the car removed within 1.5 hours so everything ok. Could the spaces be chained off and a key or code given prior to or on arrival ? Thanks again

June 2018

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed, great location, and lovely friendly pubs. We hope to return next year.

August 2017

Loved our stay. Although directions were good, as we had not been to Polperro before, the drive through the village was quite stressful. Maybe more detailed description if exactly how narrow the roads are would help future newcomers. This would not put us of a future visit though!

June 2017

Very good holiday had by all.

May 2015

The cottage was very comfortable and we loved it. The steps up might be a problem but for the time we were there they were fine. The views were wonderful especially at night when all the lights came on. Our allocated parking spot was up quite a steep hill but again not too bad and we were able to tuck in outside the gate for unloading. Definately need wi-fi though (or have a pay phone inside) as phone reception nil so we had to use phone box in village. All in all a pleasant stay.

December 2012

"We stayed here for a week in July 2012. What a lovey place for vacation, excellent location, close to shops and just around the corner from the harbour. The cottage is well equipped and presented to a high standard. Breathe taking scenery. We would definitely return, maybe in the autumn next time. We would highly recommend Glinitings. Just what we were looking for, very cosy with everything we needed" Taken from Trip Advisor (
