July 2017

Perfect property, location and hosts. We have stopped at Gull Cry every year ( sometimes twice) for many years and will continue to do so.

July 2017

Very nice, very homely.

April 2017

This is a special place. I would thoroughly recommend it.

September 2016

Delightful owner, excellent cottage, lovely and tranquil. Amazing scones on arrival.

December 2015

The cottage was one of the best we have ever rented, equipment and furnishings to the highest standard. We stayed at Christmas and the owners had decorated the cottage beautifully with a fresh tree, greenery and baubles. The house was so warm that we were disappointed we could not make use of the logburner.

December 2015

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you!

August 2015

We had a wonderful two week stay at Gull Cry. Our proximity to the sea was important however, the garden at the property would encourage you to stay at 'home'! Location-wise we couldn't have asked for better. Rolling hills with a sea view - fantastic. The cottage had everything we could have asked for and the wine and cream tea that greeted us was another added bonus. Would definitely recommend. Thank you to both Mr and Mrs Jupp for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

March 2015

Gull Cry Cottage was just stunning, the décor was so beautiful, everything was just so clean , all was provided. The Garden all around the cottage was a delight to see and so well cared for, it is the best cottage we have ever stayed in. The owner was very welcoming and happy to help if needed. The area was just what we wanted. Thank you all so much. Peter & Jo Wall

March 2015

A very comfortable cottage, good facilities. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. Hope to stay again soon.

March 2015

Gull Cry is by far the best 'holiday cottage' we have ever stayed in; genuinely a home from home; good quality furnishing, comfortable beds and lots of little features around the house that help to create a welcome atmosphere. The information pack provided was also the best we have ever been presented with and Mr and Mrs Jupp were very friendly and helpful which is really appreciated. The garden is delightful and the sea view a real bonus (especially as we either missed it on your website or it wasn't there!)

February 2015

We found the whole week to be fantastic, we know the area well, so knew where we were going. The cottage was top class, the owners could not have been more helpful. Definitely would go there again.

Gull Cry is by far our favorite holiday cottage so far after having booked a number via THC.

September 2014

Thanks for a lovely comfortable stay – real home from home. We have enjoyed the garden, walks to Torcross and Hallsands. Such a lovely part of Devon – really off the beaten track and very sheltered.

September 2014

When we arrive we say we are home. It feels so good to be at Gull Cry. Have been here so many times and seen all the changes – excellent! We always enjoy our stays. Our grandchildren who mostly come with us were not happy that we came alone. We only managed a short stay because of business commitments, but back to school they had to go.

September 2014

We had a lovely time in your cottage. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for the cream tea and wine.

September 2014

Thank you for an amazing and unforgettable stay at this beautiful and homelike atmospheric cottage. It was incredibly cosy and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and is such an interesting part of the country. Loved the lighthouse at Start Point. It was an unbelievable calming view. We especially enjoyed Dartmouth, Plymouth and Greenway House (which is highly recommended). I'm a city girl so I wasn't so thrilled about the country rides and villages – not the best roads down here either! This was by far my most favourite cottage I've stayed in and the scones a delightful surprise. Thanks for the unforgettable Holiday.

September 2014

A few words to say a heartfelt thank you for sharing your lovely cottage, allowing us to experience an idyllic holiday in the beautiful part of the country.

Good service whenever we have stayed with you

May 2014

Thanks a lot for your welcome with delightful scones and clotted cream (please can you give me your recipe). Lovely cottage and a lot of places to visit not too far away and beautiful walks.

May 2014

We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Gull Cry. The cream tea and wine were much appreciated. Thank you. The weather has been warm all week but also quite cloudy. Coastal walking is superb. We loved the section from Prawle Point westward. We will have no hesitation in coming back to this lovely cottage. Many thanks Mr

May 2014

We are here again on our fourth visit to Gull Cry. We have had a fantastic week in this great cottage and beautiful garden. Thank you for the lovely homemade scones and bottle of wine much appreciated. We recommend the Cricket Inn for food and the Pigs Nose Inn at East Prawle, a real quirky pub. Thank you Mr

May 2014

We had two fantastic weeks here in South Devon. A lovely cottage that is well equipped with a beautiful garden. This is the fifth time we have stayed in this area and it never disappoints. Lovely days on the beaches, and places to visit such as Dartmouth, Plymouth Aquarium, woodlands and Salcombe. We've also enjoyed the lovely walks down to Beesands on an evening. Thank you for the delicious cream tea, wine and for making our stay so comfortable.

May 2014

We spent two great weeks in this delightful cottage, with all its comfort, charming details and – last but not least – its beautiful and well-kept garden. The scones and bottle of wine that we found upon out arrival were much appreciated, as well as the little vases of fresh flowers. The weather was generally on our side, allowing us to do many beautiful walks along the coast path – the blue sea, birds, butterflies, and the late afternoon light on the rocks – unforgettable! Other highlights: an evening cruise on the Kingsbridge estuary, a beautiful walk on the moors in Dartmoor National Park, and even a day trip to Lizard Point in Cornwall – a long drive but very rewarding. Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Jupp for providing a perfect setting for a splendid holiday.

May 2014

Had a lovely week in Gull Cry. The cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything we could possibly need, and the garden was just a picture – a pleasure to sit in. The weather just could not get any better – 7 days of sun which made for a really memorable week.
