This handsome farmhouse offers a taste of luxurious country living, stylishly presented, well equipped and enjoying beautiful panoramic views across the Avon valley. The principal part of this building, part of an immaculately kept working beef and arable farm, with horses and chickens nearby and all year round wood-fired central heating, Hingston Farmhouse is incredibly comfortable and cosy, the perfect destination for a family gathering any time of year.  Sitting in large gardens and plenty of space for guests to really enjoy their surroundings and only  a minute’s walk from the renowned Oyster Shack and the popular Avon estuary – fabulous for bird watching and wildlife. The beaches of Bantham and Bigbury are within short driving distance and so this property offers a perfect base from which to enjoy and explore the South Hams.

Cloakroom off the lounge, also housing shelves of books and games.  Ground floor Bedroom 1: Twin bedroom with single 3ft beds. (Discount available without use of this bedroom in low/mid season for reduced capacity - please enquire.) Adjacent WC with basin, also housing shelves of books and games. Beautiful bespoke kitchen equipped with under floor heating and a Sandyford Range with 3 ovens, two hobs and a warming plate, dishwasher, fridge, island unit with marble work surfaces and breakfast bar. Step up to dining area with dining table which extends to seat 12. Walk in larder with large fridge. Rear kitchen entrance to garden, utility store (shared), and driveway. Utility store with large fridge freezer, washing machine and drying racks, (shared) space for storing sports equipment. Access to additional chest freezer if required, by arrangement with owner. Staircase leads from the kitchen to first floor: Master bedroom with 5ft King size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, en suite shower room. Bedroom 3: Family bedroom with 3ft bunk beds and 3ft single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bedroom 4: Twin bedroom with 3ft singles and spare single mattress (which can be moved), wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bedroom 5: Double bedroom with 4ft 6inch bed, wardrobe and views. Luxurious family bathroom with walk in shower enclosure, rainfall and power showers, freestanding roll top bath, basin and heated towel rail. Adjacent separate WC.

A large undulating landscaped garden surrounds the rear of the property for exclusive use of farmhouse guests, with patio area and garden furniture. To the front of the property a walled lawn.There are farm chickens nearby providing fresh eggs for guests and a separate fenced field opposite which guests of Hingston Farm are welcome to use for exercising dogs and playing, with fabulous far reaching views across the estuary. Acres of walks from the doorstep. 

Ample parking for cars, boat and trailer adjacent to property on driveway and in covered car port.

Had a wonderful holiday here for a week - suited all of us aged 9 to 85!. Beautiful views, space to run around ( and park!) , friendly horses, eggs to gather, trampoline to bounce on, fabulous large kitchen table to eat around and comfy beds -couldn't ask for more. We want to do it again! Thank you.

Fantastic property on a working farm. The children loved the space and freedom to run around, not to mention the lovely resident dogs and horses. Owners very helpful. Quiet and peaceful rural setting with a million dollar view over the rolling fields.

Wow! This is an amazing house. There was 13 of us and this house was more then big enough for us all and there was ample parking too (we had 4 cars and 2 vans). The house is very nicely decorated and to a very high standard. The Kitchen is certainly the hub of the house, were we all felt like it was home. The owners are lovely people and even left us with fresh milk and eggs from the farm. We also fell in love with the dog and the puppy that were onsite. The location was perfect close to the beaches Bigbury-on-sea and Bantham. Ideal for surfing and paddle boarding which we spent a lot of time doing. Also there is plenty of space at the house to hose off boards and wetsuits and hang them to dry.

Hingston Farmhouse is a wonderful property, in a beautiful location with extremely friendly and helpful owners on site. The only negative was that we had only booked for one week!
