Description

Lower Court, situated along a quiet lane in the pretty village of Slapton and not far from the sea is an attractive, modern and spacious ground floor apartment which has recently been totally refurbished. There is a huge sitting room with a patio door opening onto a private patio, a large kitchen diner as well as two comfortable bedrooms and parking for two cars.

Slapton is an ideal location for couples or small families who want to explore South Devon’s beautiful coast.  There are plenty of walks, the beach is less than a mile from the door and the friendly village has a couple of good pubs and a small village shop.  The interesting historical naval port of Dartmouth is a short drive away with Bohemian Totnes at the head of the Dartmouth estuary.  There are plenty of interesting market towns where you can spend a pleasant few hours as well and Dartmoor National Park is well worth a visit.  So bring the dog and pamper yourself in this well equipped holiday home.

This property can be booked together with the adjacent The Stables giving a total accommodation for up to 10 guests.

Kitchen diner with electric cooker, fridge and freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.  Dining area with seating for 6. Large sitting room with 3 sofas, 32 inch Freeview  TV and DVD. Patio door to enclosed patio. Corridor to light and airy double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds. Family bathroom with bath and electric shower over, hand basin and WC.

 

Enclosed courtyard accessed from sitting room furnished with garden table and chairs. WC in parking area.

Under cover parking for 2 cars.

  • Included: Bed linen, towels, (guests must provide their own beach towels), Wi-Fi, heating (electric panel heaters) and electricity.  Travel cot and high chair available on request.
  • No telephone. Mobile reception poor unless connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Pets: One well behaved dog welcome. Pet charge £25.00 per week.

This was the best holiday accomodation of the many we have stayed in,the location was wonderful with the peace and quiet we needed.The apartment was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed.The decor was simple but beautiful.,the linen and all the equipment was spotlessly clean.All credit to the owners for keeping it so well and we would heartily recommend it.

A lovely rental and ideal for us as our family rented The Stables. The furnishings and equipment provided were excellent.

We had a wonderful stay, could not find fault with anything. The place was very comfortable and spacious and very well equipped. Slapton village itself was very nice with two great pubs which do lovely evening meals and were a 5min walk away. We were very grateful for the muffins and milk on arrival (and dog treats!). Would love to come back again.

As this last 2 week holiday totalled 6 weeks that we've stayed at Lower Court, Slapton Village over the last 12 months, we were a little disappointed that Bo - our black miniature Schnauzer didn't receive a 'doggy gift bag'. We did call into your office in Kingsbridge to report this - but to no avail by the staff present on that day. When in the past we have regularly used other holiday letting agent's, we have been rewarded with a 'welcome pack' on our arrival - i.e. a bottle of local wine, a box of local fudge as a 'thank you' for giving them a retention of business. So - in some ways - we feel that our custom to Toad Hall hasn't been entirely appreciated by your company, which is sad. We do hope that we're wrong on taking this assumption and that it was an unfortunate error on Toad Hall's part? So, in closing you will no doubt gather that my wife Beverley, our dog Bo and I are completely satisfied with the accommodation at Lower Court, Slapton Village and will no doubt return in the future. The cleanliness and quality that Tania and Ian provide is - in our opinion - second to none!

Sorry about the lack of the doggie treats on this visit. We occasionally do them as a marketing promotion, but not every week. The logistics of making up the doggie bags and distributing them to all the cottages that allow dogs are just too time consuming. However, we're pleased that you enjoyed your holiday despite this and that Lower Court continues to provide you with everything you need.

We loved the accommodation and know the village from a previous visit. The owners (who lived upstairs) knocked on the door, introduced themselves and said to let them know if we needed anything which was very nice. We loved it so much, have just rebooked for September!

A beautiful property in a lovely quiet area. Decor, furniture, equipment all very new looking. The cream tea on arrival was delicious & much appreciated. Ian was out to welcome us the moment we arrived & sorted a problem with the wi-fi straightaway when we had a problem with it. There was no visitors comments book - had there been we would have left a glowing report.

Lovely comfortable apartment, very clean and plenty of space for us, our 2 teenagers and the dog. Wifi can be a bit iffy but that's the only downside. Would definitely recommend, and we hope to come back ourselves at some point.
