After a eight hour drive May Cottage was a welcome sight. We had a fabulous week during the May half-term break. A great location and only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Sloop Inn and nearby beach at Bantham. A lovely house to relax and unwind. We definitely want to visit again in future.
Very nice cottage, beautiful garden, just a shame about the old furniture, also is there some local restrictions on BBQs there was not one , I always provided one in my gite in France.
Thank you for your feedback which we will pass on to the owner. Unfortunately being a completely thatched cottage, insurance (and safety) doesn't permit a barbecue although the garden is indeed a beautiful spot for enjoying a meal nonetheless. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay.

We come regularly and enjoy the cottage and location. It would be good to update the electric hob and sofas at some point
Gail and I and our two dogs enjoyed our stay very much, being able to walk to both the beach and the pub was a real bonus, we will be looking to stay again in the not to distant future.
Lovely cottage & garden in beautiful area.
Our 2nd visit to May Cottage having visited Bantham for the last 18 years and by far our favorite in the area
Enjoyed our family holiday, ideal spot for a mixed Age group. At 6 and 9 yrs, granddaughters loved living in such a quirky place. Cake on arrival was a good touch after a long journey, thanks.
Love staying here...perfect situation, and weather usually! House is always lovely and clean and welcoming..we enjoyed the Easter goodies thanks.
May cottage was fantastic we felt like it was our own home is was so cosy and comfortable thankyou
We loved May Cottage, thank you!
We had a great week in this house as for many years we had stayed in a property nearby which is no longer available. We were pleasantly surprised, it was much better than we thought it would be. The glorious weather that week made us really appreciate the sun trap garden and loungers. We have rebooked for next year!
Hello lovely cottage thanks for the stay!
Charming cottage in a wonderful location. Will definitely book in the future.
This was the second time we have visited May Cottage and I don't think it will be the last. Wonderful holiday from start to finish in a wonderful location. It was so peaceful yet only a short walk to the most lovely beach with access to coastal paths and countryside walks.
A beautiful stone thatched cottage with 3 genereous sized bedrooms and a cosy double (ideal for soft bed connoisseurs!) Beautiful views from all the windows, lovely garden,a very well stocked kitchen, board games /jigsaws/a few DVDs in the living room for those rainy afternoons and a gorgeous wood burner that we throughly enjoyed!! On arrival we were welcomed to a warm cottage (heating had been turned on) and tea pot,tea bags, mugs, a pint of milk in the fridge and a bowl of mini easter eggs(yummy) ready for us! Wow, what a lovely gesture throughly enjoyed by all (from grandparents to a 6 3/4 years old granddaughter). Lovely neighbours including the chef next door (see Milla's flyer on the pinboard in hall way) and we met Chris, the thatcher. Would highly recommend Creeks End Inn, Kingsbridge (had a simple lunch here that was really lovely, very friendly staff -special thanks to Terry for ordering us some logs and being so so accommodating) and BiBi Living Cafe,Salcombe (scrumptious coffee
