Had an excellent time for my 80th birthday. Quite a few relations from Plymouth came on Sunday afternoon for lunch time get together.
We enjoyed our stay at Mer-Boes, unfortunately we had to cut or holiday short due to illness, so didn't get to see and do as much as we would have liked. The view was to die for. Everything was as described, the only point I would add, would be to say that the property is on 4 floors and the steps were rather steep for our elderly dog and the exit to garden was on the bottom floor. Also, unfortunately the nearest pub, The Finnygook had a fire recently and was out of action. There appeared to be plenty of dog friendly beaches in the vicinity and a visit to Polperro is a must for dog owners as everywhere seemed to be dog friendly, they even sold dogy ice cream! Toad Hall cottages themselves, were more than helpful and quickly sorted out an issue we raised. Also a shout out to Calweton Vets in Looe who were very caring and supportive.
Yes we had a lively time. The guest book needs uncaring as the local pub is no longer there due to a fire. But all in all a lively time away.
Had a lovely relaxing stay at this property and the views are superb . Loved everything about it
Loved it. It is out second visit and we love the house, the view, the furnishings, everything.
Fantastic location. House has everything you need. Lots of space, very comfortable. Views are wonderful. We would love to return.
Travelling early in the year I picked the property because of the sea views. I thought that even if the weather was bad, we’d still have something to look at. As it happened we had good weather, hard to believe this week, and got out and about. However, the views are stunning and the property is designed to make good use of them. The property and surroundings helped me to relax and de-stress. I’m retired and didn’t even know I had any stress but I certainly felt better on holiday.
Wonderful house with lovely views.
We have had a lot of rentals from you in the past and are normally extremely happy This time a bit dissatisfied not with your company but they let your company down
Had a problem with the door lock of the bedroom patio doors but this was sorted out efficiently by sending an emergency locksmith, thank you.
would stay again.
We had a lovely week and achieved the planned outings. It was necessary to hire a car for the 5 of us and this turned out to be a stressful serious learning curve - a big car with unfamiliar electronics including an electronic hand brake was not ideal on narrow, very hilly roads - but this obviously was not of your doing! The views from the kitchen and living room made up for any problems that arose,
Super property. Great views, dog friendly, lots of space, kitchen utensils and storage. Really well kitted out in terms of home from home comforts. Please note 1. the towel fitting in the cloakroom needs screwing in as it is loose 2. There was a letter ( opened previously, but not by us) in the kitchen.
A super holiday in this lovely property with the most stunning sea view. Looking forward to a return visit.
The cottage was in an excellent location and very well equipped. Lots of brochures and info about the local area which was very useful. Not knowing the area we ordered a grocery delivery in advance from the local Sainsburys. We werent made aware that there was an alternative route to the cottage via the Torpoint ferry, which our children would have enjoyed and would have been a more direct route.
This was an outstanding property in a fabulous location. The views were amazing.
This house is amazingly located and has stunning views. Being so high up we were able to birdwatch to our heart's delight! Swifts, gulls, goldfinches, sparrows - all flying past our window! It's a very well appointed house, tastefully and comfortably furnished throughout. The owner has really thought of everything right down to fluffy white towels and guest soaps. It's really bright, light and spacious inside and the outside space and garden, although compact, is fine for outdoor eating and relaxing. The super clean beaches are 3-4 minutes walk away and Portwrinkle is totally unspoilt with no hint of tourism. What a joy! We'll definitely be back.
