Our second visit and very enjoyable. Mount Stone is a great house for a peaceful break and Thurlestone is a lovely , friendly village. The local pub and hotel restaurant are excellent for food. We will be booking again for next year.
Lovely holiday as usual at Mount Stone. Our thanks again to Michael Sargent for resolving a couple of property issues for us prior to our arrival. One of the issues was the refitting of the outer fridge door and my my son-in-law is convinced that, a mystery bleeping in the kitchen areas may be attributable to the door not quite closing unless the door is closed sufficiently firmly. It may be worth a look when next down there.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house and gardens are splendid, towels etc.were lovely,, bedding ditto. The logs we bought were rather large for a small wood burner, but we managed. The house generally was toasty. The welcome tray was a lovely greeting, and we enjoyed the biscuits etc. All in all, the house is a delight and we will be booking for next year.
A lovely stay with very good facilities and equipment provided in the kitchen. A nice central location in the village.
We had a fabulous stay. We had everything we needed to make the holiday brilliant.....local bar and restaurant that were both fantastic, near to a range of other places to visit. The dog was in seventh heaven walking to the beach and having a swim. We have already booked for a week next October - we can't wait to return.
See above..very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you.mn
Many thanks for your feedback which we have passed to the owner. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. From the Toad Hall Team

Very nice property well equipped good kitchen lovely views great to have a garage as parking isn't good in the village Could just do with new more comfortable seating in sitting room and single beds
This was our fifth stay with one more booked in September. It feels so welcoming when we arrive and we instantly feel on holiday. Mount Stone is idyllic and it is with sad hearts that we are choosing to go elsewhere next year as we just can't face the climb up to it but we leave with wonderful memories.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and although improvements could be made, we would stay at Mt Stone again. The garden is secure for our dog which is greatly appreciated.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your comments which we have passed to the owner.

Another great week spent in Thurlestone. Good accommodation very well equipped. Always good customer service from Toad Hall. Third time of using, and will be going to another property in Thurlestone in October.
Mounts Stone is a true home from home and our #1 choice when choosing a West Country holiday destination.
The short walk to the pub was ideal for the new year celebrations - good beer and a great live band.
We loved Mount Stone on our first visit and following the recent impovements it is even more delightful.
