We really enjoyed our stay at Oakend Barn. The cottage was really lovely and clean and very spacious, with a nice patio and garden. All of the rooms were a good size and there was plenty of space for our party of 6, plus a tot. The beds were very comfortable. The village was quite remote, with very little through traffic, so it was very peaceful and very quiet. The owners of the cottage were really lovely, very friendly and very helpful (especially when we needed paramedics one evening). Kingsbridge (probably the nearest place for shops and supermarkets), is about 6 miles away, as it Slapton Sands beach. I would recommend the cottage, especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a week or two.
We had a lovely week at Oak End Barn - and the weather was pretty perfect which makes such a difference. The property accommodated us all very well - it felt spacious and light and was lovely and warm in the evenings. We would definitely like to return to this property.
The Barn conversion was great and the owners who live nearby friendly and most helpful. Their eggs are delicious. Roads very narrow nearby and for some miles either way, it added time to getting to other arrears of South Devon.
The Owner was exceptional as we always dread meeting them in case we are doing something wrong. Kenny was amazing, one in a million, made us so welcome. Would always go back to his lovely property.
We had a super stay. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The barn was fitted out with high quality furniture and equipment and was immaculately clean.
We really enjoyed our stay at Oak End Barn and found it very comfortable and the area great. The owner was very helpful and kind to our 3 year old. The approaches are very narrow. We would love to go back again some time.
