Another great stay
Couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome when we arrived. We stayed in the Hayloft cottage, a very cosy cottage which we loved. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet break away. Will definitely be coming back next year :)
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Old Dairy. It was like being in our very own slice of heaven for a week, and we did not want to leave, and would return in a heart beat if we could! Jane, the owner, was superb; so warm, helpful and friendly. The wine, milk, butter, jam and bread was just wonderful on our arrival. Beautiful area, with many places to explore. Great for dogs, and the property with it's own fields was great for our dog, too, who had a great time. Would whole-heartedly, and unreservedly give our stay at The Old Dairy 100%, and can't wait to return!
The cottage and the garden were perfect for our dog Jasper (Medium size) and this was very important to us. Lead, poo bags , bowl all provided and much appreciated. The bedding was fantastic and a delight to sink into at the end of the day. The welcome pack, flowers and the personal note from Jane made us feel so welcome, it was as if we were staying with friends. We will be back.
We would like to reiterate what a wonderful holiday we had and how marvelous the cottage was. Our host, Jane was brilliant and made us feel so welcome. We didn't want to leave! Thank you again, Jane for a fabulous week.
We booked this cottage at short notice (<7 days before) and were very surprised that something of this quality was still available. The cottage itself was excellent, great layout, well presented and well equipped. The garden facilities (seating / BBQ) were very useful and the surrounding grounds peaceful and great for walking the dog. The cottage is well positioned for visiting all the key attractions / resorts of East Devon, Dorset and Somerset. We would particularly like to thank Jane (the owner) who was extremely friendly, informative and for all the extra personal touches (flowers, toiletries, wine and arrival food essentials) that were all well received. We shall certainly be returning sometime in the future particularly as the collective of cottages allows for a large group to stay and socialise whilst retaining a level of privacy / independence.
We stayed here for one week. Jane the owner was very friendly and helpful. The cottage is clean, relaxing and cosy. My boys needed wifi which was good. All the bedding and towels were quality items. Enclosed garden for our furry friend and a field where he could go off lead. A large fish pond where my son fed the fish. A lovely garden that was a sun trap. We had friends over and had a bbq around a large table Jane had provided, she also let us play a noisy game of cricket. Wonderful holiday we will return.
My family and I had a wonderful holiday at The Old Dairy, Tritchayne Cottages. Jane, the owner, could not have been more helpful or thoughtful. It was a fantastic property in a relaxing and peaceful location. I would certainly recommend to others and look forward to returning myself.
A lovely welcome, a bottle of wine and milk, eggs, butter and bread. Well appointed and with lots of thoughtful detail throughout. Comfortable bed with feather pillows and duvet, a small TV/DVD but with good sound quality, outside sitting space that catches all of the afternoon sun, pleasant surroundings and a very attentive and friendly owner. The Wi-Fi was reliable, though not super-fast (that's not a niggle) - it is bonus for this rural location. I will certainly recommend to friends and family. Well done Jane (owner).
Have just returned from a wonderful week at the Old Diary. Beautifully appointed cottage with lots of thoughtful touches - fresh flowers and food hamper, high quality towels, linen and toiletries and very well decorated. Both we and our little dog received a very warm welcome from the owner Jane. Facilities for dogs are excellect - enclosed gardens with each cottage, dog towels, lead, bowl and toys and excellent shared gardens for a little stroll. Perfect peaceful location ideal for exploring the stunning coastal walks in the area. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
We stayed at The Old Dairy over the bank holiday and had a wonderful weekend. We arrived late and night and the outside area was candle lit, and looked very pretty - a very warm welcome. The cottage was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable (for example, lovely soft duvets and bedding from The White Company). We have a ten month old and really appreciated that it was so well set up to accommodate babies - a proper cot, a good quality high chair, non-slip mat in the bath, etc. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating and the surrounding area was beautiful to explore. Excellent wifi too! It was great to find such a wonderful and easy place to stay and we will definitely be going back, hopefully later this year.
