Old Home Farm is an attractive detached holiday home that provides high quality accommodation for families or couples on the historic Rousdon Estate, a truly magnificent location at the heart of the Juassic coast, only 3 miles from the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis. Dating from the 1870's the Estate is a unique development built around an impressive mansion house, with cottages and converted farm buildings forming a small community. The beautiful landscaped 350 acre parkland is surrounded by mature trees and for the more adventurous there is access, via a steep footpath, to the private beach at Charton Bay. The famous Undercliff section of the South West Coast Path, stretching between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, can also be accessed direct from the estate grounds. 

Recently built to a high specification, the house has been furnished and equipped with everything that is required for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor includes a fully fitted kitchen as well as a separate utility room. The comfortable open plan lounge/dining room, with a TV/DVD, provides great space for relaxing and there is a separate smaller games/sitting room with TV/DVD. Upstairs the master double bedroom has an en suite shower room and the two other bedrooms, one a double and one a twin, are served by a spacious family bathroom. Outside there is a fully enclosed, walled garden that provides the perfect spot for barbecues and al fresco dining. Off-road parking for one car is included on the driveway and on-street parking for an additional car can be found nearby. As well as the pretty seaside town of Lyme Regis, all the attractions of West Dorset and East Devon are within easy reach. A small shop/garage and hotel with bar and restaurant open to the public are located just a short walk from the entrance to the estate.

Separate games/sitting room with TV/DVD. Cloakroom W.C. First floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed and en suite shower room with W.C. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bedroom 3 with double bed. Bathroom with bath, shower over bath and W.C.

Enclosed garden with lawn, patio, decked area, furniture, chimnea and BBQ.  Bikes also available for guests to use.

August 2017

We all really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house with its small walled garden. The house was very well designed and equipped for six and we appreciated being able to bring our dogs who enjoyed the many walks we were able to take them on locally. The Rousdon Estate is very attractive and well laid out and a perfect location for anyone wanting to explore the Devon/Dorset coast near to pretty Lyme Regis. We had a lovely time!

We had a great time and it was the ideal house to celebrate our grandaughters second birthday.I would recommend this house for any small family gathering.The estate was absoloutley beautiful and we were blessed with excellent weather.

A wonderful holiday - and with the typical British weather, there was plenty to occupy us indoors when we needed it. The home from home feel really added to the enjoyment of our stay here. The location and the standard of the house could not have been bettered. We will be back soon!

Can not recommend old home farm cottages on the Royston estate enough - beautiful surroundings, wonderfully equipped cottage all and more you could ask for a real home from home. Quality of decor and furnishings was high, a few things a little worn but only enhances feeling of being home. Private beach is fabulous. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby and great walks.
