The cottage was stunning & really enjoyed the week. There was no welcome pack as such which seemed odd although plenty of staples tea,, coffee, salt, pepper etc.
The garden and views were excellent. The location was lovely. The cottage had a charm of its own.
The house and gardens are beautiful and we had a lovely stay.
I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a beautiful place to stay, a fabulous view, luxurious bedding, fabulous crockery, everything you could wish for, well done Toad Hall for having this Cottage on your books, we will be back !.
Overall fantastic cottage in lovely setting Could have stayed for 2 weeks Being over critical with improvements listed above Cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in
Yes we enjoyed our stay, it was amazing.
Lovely cottage, great views and offers very comfortable living with all mod com. When it comes to modern IT i am a bit of a dinosaur and some of the equipment was a bit beyond me but we did enjoy the table football. I had an issue with the cottage in that I am partially disabled and the lack of handrails on the stairs and the various steps from lounge to kitchen caused me some problems. On the whole we had a great time but failed to see the humpback whale
Old Thatch was an outstanding holiday house, exceptionally well-equipped and in a great location. The thing which made it extra special for us was the view of the sea and Slapton Ley from the large and beautifully maintained garden. Having our breakfast at the sunny table at the top of the garden, with that fabulous view was a real treat.
Received excellent service across the board prior and during the holiday. Would definitely use you again. In relation to the Old Thatch; the cottage was superbly maintained and kitted out to a really high level with a stunning garden. Only thing I would say is that you probably don't need an Aga in the kitchen, made the rest of the house really warm!!
We have stayed in numerous quality holiday cottages over the years. The Old Thatch at Torcross was just incredible. The owners have created the mos perfect place to stay. This is a gem!
This is a fantastic cottage to stay in with wonderful views across the bay. The cottage is purely loved by its owners and well looked after inside and out! On arrival it was lovely to have a few essentials for our stay including a bottle of wine! Which was very welcoming after a long journey stuck in some Bank Holiday traffic! Thank you Toad Hall and the owners of Old Thatch for sharing this beautiful place for holidays.
We recently stayed at Old Thatch for a weekend treat for my brother-in-laws 50th Birthday, it is really lovely and comfortable. The bedrooms were really nice with lovely beds and bedding. The gardens were beautiful and had lovely views of Slapton sands. There was plenty of room for eight of us, the large conservatory seated us all, but the kitchen table was also ample. I would love to go back again, simply idyllic!
