This ultra-stylish house is a genuinely exciting architecturally design spacious airy property.  Pilchard Rock offers dazzling 180 degree views from every window and from its glorious balconies.  Its elevated position gives uninterrupted vistas over the harbour and out to sea which can be enjoyed at any seasons.  This bright, spacious and contempo house is situated just off the coastal path and within the heart of the picturesque village of Polperro, so it is ideally placed to take advantage of the breathtaking coastal walks, or enjoy the restaurants, pubs and cafes, or take a trip on one of the boats or a  fishing trips off the coast.  This charming and thoughtfully decorated house is a great getaway whether you’re a couple, group or a family.  In the evenings you can enjoy an al fresco meal and glass of wine on the private balcony overlooking the sea.

Open plan Living/dining room:  two large sofas, plus additional seating, wood burning stove,  TV  and WiFi.  Dining table with chairs for 10. French windows onto balcony.  Bespoke retro style 60's Kitchen: with integrated one-piece hot plate/electric hob, built in modern combi double oven, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher.   Utility room: washing machine and tumble dryer.  First floor Master Bedroom: with King Size 5ft double bed, wardrobe and drawers, seating in the window, electric radiator.  First floor Bathroom: with shower over bath, wash hand basin, bidet, WC and towel rail. Ground floor Family Bedroom: with bunk bed for 3 and a seperate single 3ft bed, wardrobe. Ground floor Double Bedroom:  with 4ft 6in double bed, wardrobe; leading through this room is the Studio/annex: with 4ft double bed, sofa and arm chair, TV. Studio/annex Kitchenette: with electric oven and electric hob over, sink, and a bar table  with two stools.  Small utility area: with fridge and ice box, microwave, plus an external door if necessary. Shower Room: with cubicle shower,  WC and wash hand basin.

Please Note:  the studio/Annex will not have a kintchenette for 2020. 

Two main spacious decked balconies on two levels, with seating and dining table for large groups. Plus other smaller terraces.

The house can be approached from Talland Hill, down lots of steps (approx. 75), or via the pedestrian path from the village and the coastal path, up a flight of steps.

Parking for one car above the property, with several sets of steps leading to the entrance.

  • Included: Bed linen and towels (no beach towels so guests are asked to provide their own), WiFi, electricity and central heating.
  • Telephone: No land line, mobile reception mixed.
  • Dog: One well behaved small to medium dog permitted.  Pet Charge: £30.00 per week.
  • Local Facilities: Polperro harbour and village pubs, restaurants, village grocery shop, bakery, post office, 4 minutes walk.  Looe town with larger facilities and harbour 4 miles.  Beach:  tidal beach in Polperro 5 mins walk, larger sandy beach in East Looe 4 miles.  Eden Project 20 miles.  Charlestown 22 miles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan  29 miles.  
  • Due to the hillside location, we would not recommend this property to the elderly or infirm.

Enjoyed the property very much and was very accommodating to may family's needs Couple of issues which I raised with the owner. Stairs leading down unsafe. Construction work going on. Parking shower room not functional. The information given to me before booking property was misleading

We did not have any milk in our welcome pack. Our stay was fantastic, the house is stunning with wonderful big windows, it felt totally spacious for the 8 adults in our party. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We are very likely to re-book either at Christmas or New Year at some point.
