With ample parking, Puddaven Barn is the perfect choice for those looking for a tranquil timeless spot with super walking and cycling available on the doorstep.

Chagford, just a few minutes’ drive from the barn, is one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor and offers plenty of amenities including cafes, shops, four pubs, tennis and even and outdoor swimming pool.  Beyond Dartmoor, the shops, theatres and cinemas of Exeter are not far away. Day trips to beaches in Teignmouth or the South Hams offer a great alternative for a fun day-out.

Please note: Due to the nature of the stairs which lead from the first floor to the second floor, Bedroom 2 and its ensuite is not suitable for young children or anyone with mobility/walking difficulties.

Ground floor entrance hall with bench and boot tray. Utility room with sink, washing machine and wall mounted drying rack. One step up to the master bedroom with super-king 6ft zip-link bed (this will be made up as a super-king unless specified otherwise at the time of booking), TV/DVD, door to garden and freestanding bath enjoying stunning views over the farmland towards Easdon Tor. Ensuite shower room with basin, WC, walk in shower and heated towel rail.

First floor open plan living space. Lounge area with 2 sofas, TV/DVD and a woodburning stove.  Dining area with table and seating for 6, door to rear courtyard and window overlooking adjoining farmland. Kitchen area with breakfast bar, electric hob, built in eye-level electric oven, microwave, integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Door to inner hall and cloakroom with WC and basin. Very steep step ladder style stairs (unsuitable for young children and those with any mobility/walking difficulties) lead up to Bedroom 2 in the eaves (restricted head height) with 6ft super-king zip link bed (this will be made up as a super-king unless specified otherwise at the time of booking) with glazed wall end overlooking the lounge area below. Ensuite shower room with basin, WC, walk in shower and heated towel rail.

To the front of the barn, there is a South-facing seating area (not enclosed) which enjoys glorious countryside views with charcoal barbeque and garden table and chairs for 4. To the rear of the barn (accessed via the open plan living space) there is also a courtyard area.

  • Included: Bed linen and towels (guests are required to provide their own dog/beach towels). Water, Electricity, underfloor heating.  Travel cot and high chair available on request. One complimentary basket of logs is provided on arrival – further logs can be purchased from the owner.
  • Internet and Telephone: Wi-Fi available free of charge. Regret, No landline telephone available. Mobile reception poor but please check with your provider prior to booking.
  • Pets: One well behaved livestock friendly dog welcome. Dog charge £25.00 per week (£30.00 per week from January 2019).
