Description

This very special property situated right on the seafront in Torcross, overlooking the beach and provides contemporary and spacious holiday accommodation for up to 10 guests.  Completely renovated, guests staying at Sea Cottage will appreciate the layout of this 5 star retreat which features a large modern kitchen diner; perfect for family reunions with an adjoining snug/sitting room. On the first floor a large, vaulted sitting room has a Juliet balcony to take advantage of the views of the Slapton Ley nature reserve, as well as a sunny sheltered veranda. Arranged over three floors there are five generous bedrooms and three bathrooms. A wide front patio lets you appreciate the sight and sounds of the sea whilst watching the world go by and there’s also a private rear patio, perfect for relaxing or alfresco dining and parking for 2 cars.

Torcross has a welcoming pub serving good food, a small shop, cafes and of course the beach. Slapton Ley behind the Torcross line is a freshwater nature reserve and the South West Coastal Path allows walkers to enjoy some stunning cliff walks along the coast. Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe are all easily accessible and provide great days out, whether you like pottering around, eating out or enjoying the sandy beaches of Salcombe.

Dining area with views of Slapton Ley, extending table to seat 12 and TV. Snug/sitting room with seas views, comfortably furnished with 2 leather sofas.  Bedroom 1 with two 3ft single beds. Bedroom 2 with two 3ft single beds. Shower room with walk in shower, hand basin and WC. Oak stairs to first floor. Large vaulted sitting room with 4 sofas, large screen TV and Juliet balcony overlooking the Ley. Patio doors to sheltered decked veranda, also overlooking the Ley. Bedroom 3 with 5ft double bed and sea views. Modern family bathroom with bath, separate walk in shower, hand basin and WC. Bedroom 4 with 4ft 6in double bed and sea views.  Second floor: Bedroom 5. Large double bedroom set in the eaves with sea views and 4ft 6in double bed.  Large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, walk in shower, hand basin and WC. 

Outside: Front terrace with picnic table and benches and gate to seafront. Private enclosed rear patio area with garden table and chairs.

 

Parking: for 2 medium size cars. Additional council parking available nearby, (charges apply).

Village shop, good pub and cafe on Torcross sea front. Farm shop in Stokenham 1 mile. Garage with good food and leisure shop, East Charleton 3 miles.  Kingsbridge with all facilities 6 miles. Dartmouth 8 miles.

Despite all of the suggestions I've made above the house was wonderful. Great style, very very comfortable, lots of space, fast internet - we're seriously thinking of returning

This was a fantastic property and we really enjoyed our stay there. We had a problem with the little midgey type flies, but I am not sure whether you would be able to do anything about this.
