Description

Sea Poppy is one of a popular cluster of holiday cottages located on the cliffs overlooking Thurlestone Sands. Superbly situated between Hope Cove and Thurlestone Sands, Seamark Cottages sit in an outstanding headland position with far reaching views across the sea, over the golden stretches of Thurlestone Sands, to the village of Thurlestone itself and on towards Burgh Island. The South West coastal path is only a short walk away and the properties are ideal for couples or families of all ages. Walkers, windsurfers, dog owners, divers, golfers and children will revel in this marvellous location at any time of the year. Seamark is a small group of properties, which are individually owned and consist of four terraced cottages. They all provide excellent accommodation, are furnished to the highest standard including modern well-equipped kitchens, double glazing and oil fired central heating. All the properties have spectacular views and enjoy the communal use of an indoor heated swimming pool, games room and lawned garden.

This stunning cottage on two floors has been extended and totally refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and provides a large disability friendly ground floor bed-sitting room (designed to national accessibility standard M3). The apartment is ideal for the three generation family or for families with a member who has limited mobility. In front of the cottage is a paved and enclosed patio area that opens out to a large lawned area for the use of all the residents and with outstanding sea views.

Door into small entrance hall and further door into a very spacious, well furnished bed/sitting room with twin beds (3ft), two lounge chairs, Freeview TV with DVD and French doors to the secure patio. En-suite shower/wet room with basin and WC (wheelchair friendly). Stairs with a stair lift to superb kitchen/diner and fabulous views across the bay. Electric hob and built-in oven, combination microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. French oak dining table to seat 6. Telephone and wireless broadband. Archway through to an exceptional sitting room, beautifully furnished with leather sofas, digital Freeserve TV with DVD recorder. Panoramic windows take advantage of the glorious views and extend out into a screened balcony. Double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) with an en-suite shower room with basin and WC. Twin bedroom (3ft beds). Family bathroom with bath, basin and WC. The ground floor twin bedroom beds can be put together to form a superking bed if required.

A fenced patio lies to the front of the cottage, furnished with garden table and chairs (weather permitting). Communal lawned garden beyond with spectacular views, and use of the indoor heated swimming pool and games room. 

Designated parking for 2 cars.

Fabulous venue . Drove via Malbrough to use less of the narrow lanes or via the beach car park and up from there. Worth giving visitors a choice of routes as very limited passing on the advised route.

Great location for families/walkers/golfers/ dog owners. Wonderful view from We had a great visit with sunny weather.Wonderful view. Peaceful and quiet. Great for families,walkers,golfers,dog owners.

Lovely property but we were unable to open the door onto the garden and the water in the showers was only just warm. For this reason I have only given 3 or standard of equipment although everything else was perfect.

We had a lovely stay here with elderly parent whom the downstairs bedroom, wet room and stir lift made it easy for all of us to have a good time. The views are exceptional and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. Must agree with previous comments that the double bed is quite hard. However it wouldn't put us on coming back. The shared garden is a idea area for dog or children play.

A great holiday cottage in a fantastic location. It was nice to have a personal call from the owner to check if everything was OK. The complimentary wine was a lovely surprise & very much appreciated. Only disappointment was the closure of the coastal path due to the recent erosion - hopefully it will be sorted & opened up again. Pool could have been warmer for the adults!
