Shalimar is an exceptional detached property, perfectly designed and furnished for a one or two family holiday with fantastic communal space. It is located within the seaside town of Salcombe, and is in walking distance to the town centre. The child and pet friendly house is furnished with comfort and fun in mind. Its main room benefits from floor to ceiling, 4 paned concertino doors, providing access to a large balcony with superb views to Kingsbridge and, on a clear day Dartmoor park. It is well presented and modern in feel, with a well equipped kitchen for cooking afficionados, and it is located near the Spar for last minute ingredients or fresh bread. There is also a large patio / garden and ample parking for two / three cars. It has everything you need for small ones, including a dedicated play room with an activity table, junior bed and cot. In addition, there is table football and a digital TV for the bigger kids.
This house is ideally furnished for two families, with a mix of super king, king, single and bunk beds, sleeping 10 persons in total. Additionally there is a junior bed and a pop-up cot. It can also work well for a group of friends.
Ground floor: Front entrance to hall leading to open plan kitchen and dining room with electric cooker, gas hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, dining table to seat up to 10 people, additional seating area and access to large balcony with stunning views. Lounge with large corner sofa, table and chairs and TV. Childrens play room with table football, child’s activity table, bean bags and lots of games. Coat and boot room off separate side entrance.
First floor: Master bedroom with 6ft super king bed, with large opening doors and glass safety balustrade and en suite bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with 3ft bunk beds, junior child’s bed and en suite bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC.
Lower ground floor: Bedroom 3 with 5ft King size bed and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Bedroom 4 with a bunk bed (double bed (4ft) on the bottom and single bed (3ft) on the top). Bedroom 5 with two 3ft single beds. Family bathroom with bath with hand held shower, separate shower cubicle, basin and WC. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. All bathrooms include electrically heated towel racks.
Large balcony with table and chairs and great views. Patio / garden at rear of property, with a table and chairs sitting up to 10 people (6 chairs and 4 stools).
Parking for 2 or 3 cars in private enclosed parking area at rear of property.

Local facilities: Spar shop 50 yards. North Sands beach 1 mile. Pubs, restaurants and other shops 5-10 minutes’ walk down the hill into Salcombe centre (longer coming back). Kingsbridge with all facilities including supermarkets 6 miles.
We have had a truly magical week in Salcombe, weather has been fantastic and we have all really relaxed, just a shame to be leaving now. Shalimar has played a big part in our enjoyment, we have loved staying here, loved the kitchen and terrace and the boys are now pro's on the table football. We will certainly be back, hopefully for longer!
We have had a really great holiday. Salcombe is so picturesque. North Sands and Mill Bay were our favourite places, plus hiring a boat for the day was a great experience. Your home is a great set up for two families to spend a fab week together! We'll miss the balcony view.
We did enjoy our stay. We loved the space in the house and the children loved discovering all the toys and games in the playroom. Parking was tricky as we couldn't park on the road. The views were good and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony.. Salcombe is a lovely area and we all enjoyed our stay. An ideal place for a large family group.
We are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay at this lovely house in Salcombe. Whilst parts of the nearby road can be tricky to park on during the summer, the property does come with a private parking area for 2 to 3 cars.
