Ground floor: Large entrance hall with sofa, bureau and reading chairs, polished wooden floors throughout. Spacious comfortable lounge/dining room with full-width floor to ceiling patio doors opening onto the covered terrace with outside dining area. Huge comfy sofas and chaise longue, Jetmaster fire, flat screen TV, DVD and Sky TV including full Sports package. Archway to dining area with glass dining table to seat 8, excellent Bang Olufsen sound system. There’s even a sun room with leather sofa, flat screen TV and DVD to escape and relax. Well equipped kitchen, packed with clever things including a zip tap for hot and cold drinking water, Miele coffee machine, double oven with combination/microwave and warming drawer, larder fridge/ freezer,  bread maker. Bespoke dining table with extra leaf to seat 12. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and additional larder fridge, cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin. First floor: Master Bedroom with superking size bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and glazed door to full-width balcony offering unbroken views to the sea. En suite bathroom with bath and handheld shower, slate floors, countertop basin, separate shower cubicle. Bedroom 2: Second sea-facing bedroom with superking size bed and sea views. Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom with 3ft single beds, built in wardrobe and dressing table. Steps down to family bathroom with bath and handheld shower, separate shower cubicle, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Bedroom 4: Double bedroomwith kingsize bed, single wardrobe, chest of drawers. Adjacent shower room with basin and WC. Second Floor: Bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, radiator, basin and WC. Steps up to Bedrooms 5 and 6: Quirky shaped rooms ideal for children, each bedroom built into the eaves with twin single 3ft beds, toybox, mini hifi, wardrobe and in one there is a standard cot.

From the covered terrace and sun patio, steps lead down to sea-facing lawns in beautiful mature gardens with sun loungers, barbecue, large garden table and chairs. The garden overlooks Thurlestone Marsh, a haven for birds, and also enjoys views directly towards the golf club and the beach. Hanging area for beach gear and wet suits, outside hose.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It lends itself to a family holiday with children and grandchildren. Spacious enough for everyone to find their own space, a great garden for family games and a perfect location for the golf club where my husband has been a member for years and for the tennis courts and beaches. We particularly appreciate that we rarely have to use the car throughout the week and the coffee machine is one of the holiday highlights! Thankyou very much.

South Riding is a nice cottage in a great location. The one complaint is that it is not at all clear from the description that the property is not detached. In fact, the photos are taken in such a way that the clear implication is that the property is detached. The fact that it is attached came as a surprise. The description is clearly misleading and must be fixed to state explicitly that the property is attached.

Many thanks indeed for your feedback, we have checked the location to ensure that the property itself is clearly visible on google maps showing the clear delineation between the neighbouring properties, and included in the description that South Riding is indeed semi-detached. The exterior photos are intended to show the right hand side divided by the hedge, and we are sorry if this was not clear in the pictures. We do hope that despite this you enjoyed the beautiful coastal setting, glorious recent weather and had a lovely week in Thurlestone.

Lovely House, great position Lock on on suite bathroom u/s Exterior of house could do with some tlc

Thank you for your feedback and for advising of the misbehaving lock. The housekeeper will check this and rectify on next changeover. The exterior repainting is planned for this autumn, which will freshen it up, the exterior weathers quickly being so close to the sea. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
