Property: Self-catering holiday house
It was wonderful. The photos didn't do it justice. The sea was so close, the views wonderful, the garden beautiful and such lovely proximity to wild ponies, cattle and birds. Housekeeper was very friendly and helpful and it was a wonderful place to be.
As always we had a wonderful holiday. The house is always immaculate and June so welcoming. We will be back next year
Dream location, very nice house, loved and well taken care off
See you next year
It was very good to have nearby House manager in case of any problems.
Absolutely loved the house, garden and foreshore. Plenty to do and plenty to see whilst not even leaving the area.
A lovely family holiday in a unique setting, enjoyed by all.
This is our 10th anniversary of staying here so that says it all!
Dear New Forest Team, we really had a great holiday and wanted to say a big thank you for the perfect organisation. Sowley Gate House was wonderful, everything was perfect. We never had such lovely house in such wonderful and quiet place. We enjoyed these 2 weeks in the New Forest, made a lot of trips nearby and relaxed in the afternoon with sitting in the garden and listening to the see, the birds and were surprised about the horses and ponys all around. Thanks also June for warm welcome and giving us informations about interesting places to visit. We hope to be back sometimes and will never forget the days in Sowley Gate House.
We had a lovely time! We've never stayed in a holiday cottage so well equipped - I don't think there was anything we wanted in the kitchen that we didn't find with a bit of searching, and there were loads of garden games in the utility room and play equipment in the garden, and so much room for the children to run around. And lots of games in the dining room, including an excellent wooden 3D game of noughts and crosses which the broken boy and Grandpa played with again and again. The scenery is stunning, the views across the Solent amazing, and the peace and tranquillity was just absolute bliss. We'll definitely come back, hopefully this time all in one piece!
Staying at Sowley Gate gives a time of tranquility in this crazy world. It suits all ages and all generations. Please convey our sincere thanks to Penny and June for their input. Is there any chance of a weekend break in the low season ? Joan S
Fantastic place to stay, if only everything was as easy as staying at Sowley gate house.
Warm, welcoming, comfortable house in a very pleasant secluded position with a big area of grass and easy access to the shore. We all loved it,especially the children.
We have just had our first and most amazing week time at Sowley Gate House and now working out when we can come back in the next few months. Please continue to keep the prices so competitive otherwise we won't be able to afford it. I can see us coming back for many years xxx
We had a fantastic week yet again, the whole extended family, in the perfect location. A big Thank you to Penny & June
We had a fabulous family holiday to celebrate a special occasion and a birthday, The situation of the cottage was brilliant, right on the Solent, so we were able to put our kayaks directly into the water. The weather could not have been better, thank you
Used New Forest Cottages on 8 occasions now and every time exceeded up to expectations.
Fabulous location, far away from the hustle and bustle of normal life - absolute paradise. The perfect place to unwind and get away from it all.
Sowley Gate house is a marvellous place, this was our third visit... amazing and relaxing as always.
Perfect holiday, enjoyed by all!
A fantastic, well equipped and spacious home with a great cricket pitch at the back. Tranquil setting and idyllic surroundings
