A lovely cottage..... Absolutely everything that you could possibly have needed had been thought of. We will definitely return!
The location of this property for exploring Dartmoor was fantastic.
An excellent cottage, ideally situated to explore Dartmoor and the surrounding areas .
The cottage was first class everything possible provided. It's a credit to the owners as it was spotlessly clean. It was in a lovely setting and as it was a first visit it for us to Dartmoor it really surprised us how lovely the area was. Would recommend the ruddlestone Inn at Widecombe the food is superb lovely beer and pub grub.
Swallow Cottage is a wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend it. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is ideally situated for walking straight from the front door. Our two dogs loved it and were made to feel welcome. They made friends with the owners dog, who was very sweet. It is very peaceful and made us relax
This was an exceptional property, beautifully furnished and in a wonderful spot. It was also a great location for exploring Dartmoor.
Swallow Cottage is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage itself is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal for walking direct from the property and for access to the local amenities. Would highly recommend if you want an 'away from it all' break.
Everything was well arranged - good communication throughout. We had a beautiful cream tea on arrival. There was everything you could have wanted at the cottage. We had a very enjoyable time.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Swallow Cottage. The local area is beautiful and there are some brilliant walks nearby. Despite the very British weather outside, the cottage was always very welcomingly warm and comfortable. Also, the cream teas on arrival were delicious and a really special treat.
We came in October and had such a peaceful time we decided to return with a full house. We had a lovely New Years celebration and despite the biblical weather, we have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Many thanks to Steve, Karen and team for the hard work that goes into making Swallow Cottage such a success.
We had a great time at Swallow Cottage. We went with the intention of relaxing and that is what we did as it is so peaceful. We have done some of the walks, driven around Dartmoor and enjoyed the scenery and animals. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend the cottage, its perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed our stay at Swallow Cottage. The surrounding area is beautiful but we would have liked better weather. The evening meal at the Lydgate Hotel was excellent , and the Post Office stores had everything you might need. We all enjoyed our week in beautiful cottage in Postbridge.
We've become frequent visitors to Dartmoor as we love the beautiful scenery and atmosphere of the moor (the cream teas complimented it very well). What has made it particularly enjoyable this time was having a peaceful cottage to come back to each day. We found it so relaxing with its lovely views and having the animal so close by.
Fantastic conversion with all you need. Very well placed for a walking holiday; some great walks from your door. Would love to come back.
