We enjoyed our stay at Swallows Rest. We explored the local area and visited The Millbrook Inn at Southpool and Pigs Nose at East Prawl. Both excellent. I did telephone your office and tell them that the white oven glove provided was totally inadequate. It was too small for hands to fit into. Also, it was badly worn. I burnt my fingers badly as I had not realized my fingers were not protected. The oven being, in the corner, did not help We bought some bird feed and filled the feeder twice as we had many birds to view. Even the squirrel tried to feed. we used Sunflower heats as we knew they attract all types of birds. Your pictures below are of all places visited. I knew the area well as I had covered the area as an agricultural rep in the 60`s. And my late wife came from Southpool. Thank you for allowing us to stay in the cottage
Sorry to hear about the oven glove and we'll get that replaced by the owner as soon as possible. However, glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday.

Great location for walks to coast from the house.beautiful area & lots to see.quiet location
Very enjoyable stay in a lovely quiet setting, walking distance of Lannamore beach. The cottage is well equipped and light and airy and plenty of optional extra heating. Good lawn area and parking space. Would definitely book again. It would be good to know how to recycle rubbish - we even had to put the council compost bag in with everything else! Maybe liaise with the council to label waste bins?
We enjoyed our stay. But from the information within the cottage description, it was not very clear as to the remoteness or accessibility of the cottage. From the photographs it looked like restaurants etc were close by and readily accessible. We appreciate it said within 2 miles etc, but did not anticipate the roads leading to them. Also no mention is made of no internet access and mention is made of intermittent signal. We had no signal at all despite the owner advising walk 100 metres up the hill behind the cottage. This was a major problem to us as we have elderly sick parents at home who we need contact with at all times. Had we been more aware of this then this would have influenced our decision to book this cottage. Going forward, this will certainly be a question we will need to clarify before booking. All I all, lovely cottage if u need to totally get away from it all and are prepared to navigate v narrow roads to get to various locations. Really think these points should be more strongly highlighted within the cottage description. Thank you.
The cottage was lovely and exceeded our expectations. It was just what we needed to be able to enjoy our week away. It was exceptionality clean and the facilities were of a very good standard. We will definitely book it again when we next visit Kingsbridge!
