We did enjoy the stay but that's because we know the area well. Overall the stay in the Barnacle was ok but it was let down by cleanliness standards and some of the furnishings need to be updated like the sink in the bathroom which was loose.

September 2016

We had a lovely week at The Barnacle, very lucky with weather too warm and sunny most of the time. Our 2 dogs Lulu and Barney enjoyed it too. The property was lovely, clean and inviting, nicely decorated. Everything needed was there. Beautiful scenery and we enjoyed many walks on the coastal cliffs beaches, Town's and villages. An excellent base so we will be booking for the same week next year..... We could not hear any conversations as the lady above said...and my hearing is good. !

I think perhaps it should be pointed out to future holiday makers that The Barnacle, although explained as an annexe, is still part of the main house and conversations could be overheard. This did not bother me as I only wanted a base from which I could explore the beautiful coastline.

We had a great time staying at The Barnacle, Hope Cove is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding area is amazing. The property is lovely and has everything you could possibly need and we hope to return again, I can't recommend it enough.

Loved staying at The Barnacle and Hope Cove. The property was fab and excellent for us and our 9mth puppy. It had everything that we needed in it and more. I would also use Toad Hall Cottages again, they were extremely helpful and friendly x
